Ebola Jumps Around the World | Environment News Service.
NEW YORK, New York, October 24, 2014 (ENS) – The worst Ebola outbreak in history, which began in West Africa in March, is traveling around the world. On Thursday, a New York City emergency room doctor who worked with Ebola patients in Guinea was diagnosed with the disease and is quarantined in hospital in New York.
Today the first case appeared in the West African country of Mali.
This week two African countries – Senegal and Nigeria – were declared Ebola-free. The World Health Organization said, “The most important lesson for the world at large is this: an immediate, broad-based, and well-coordinated response can stop the Ebola virus, carried into a country in an infected traveller, dead in its tracks.”
Of the 9,936 Ebola cases reported as of October 19 to the World Health Organization, 4,877 people have died.
The survivors include an infected nurse who cared for the first case of Ebola diagnosed in the United States. Today, Nina Pham, 26, was released from the National Institutes of Health Clinical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, where she was treated, with a clean bill of health. She went to the White House to meet with President Barack Obama before returning home to Dallas.

As Ebola Cases Top 10,000, Obama Says America Can “Beat” The Deadly Virus | Zero Hedge.
Following the sad death of its first Ebola case, Mali’s President has said he will not close his nation’s border with Guinea, because “the incident showed it was impossible to completely seal his country.”
Mali’s neighbors, on the other hand, are shutting borders, as Mauritania tries not to become Africa’s 7th Ebola-infected country. This brings, according to The WHO, the number of cases of Ebola to 10,141 with 4,922 dead (so far).

NYC Mayor De Blasio Ebola Update “Under Control – No Cause For Alarm” – Live Webcast | Zero Hedge.
Having worked extremely hard on their coordinated talking points last night – “Ebola is hard to catch”, “Doctor self-isolated”, “been preparing for months” – we await NYC Mayor Bill De Blasio’s public update on the state of Ebola in New York this morning… Keep Calm and Go Ebowla-ing?
- *NYC MAYOR DE BLASIO SAYS ‘THERE’S NO CAUSE FOR ALARM’
- *DE BLASIO SAYS SITUATION IS ‘UNDER CONTROL’ DUE TO PREPARATION
- *DE BLASIO SAYS EMS DRILLED ‘QUITE A WHILE’ ON EBOLA PROTOCOL
- *DE BLASIO SAYS NYC IS ‘FULLY PREPARED’ TO HANDLE EBOLA
As NBC reports, experts stress that since the 33-year-old physician was not symptomatic at the time, it’s unlikely he transmitted the virus — which can only be passed through bodily fluids while a person is sick.

Why I Will Not Submit To Medical Martial Law
Why I Will Not Submit To Medical Martial Law.
One of the most dangerous philosophical contentions even amongst liberty movement activists is the conundrum of government force and prevention during times of imminent pandemic. All of us at one time or another have had this debate. If a legitimate viral threat existed and threatened to infect and kill millions of Americans, is it then acceptable for the government to step in, remove civil liberties, enforce quarantines, and stop people from spreading the disease? After all, during a viral event, the decisions of each individual can truly have a positive or negative effect on the rest of society, right? One out of control (or “lone wolf”) citizen/terrorist could reignite a biological firestorm, so, should we not turn to government and forgo certain freedoms in order to achieve the greater good for the greater number?
If the government in question was a proven and honorable institution, then I would say pro-Medical Martial Law arguments might have a leg to stand on. However, this is not the case. In my view, medical martial law is absolutely unacceptable under ANY circumstances, including Ebola, in light of the fact that our current government will be the predominant cause of viral outbreak. That is to say, you DO NOT turn to the government for help when the government is the cause of the problem.
The recent rise of global Ebola is slowly bringing the issue of medical martial law to the forefront of our culture. Charles Krauthammer at The Washington Post recently argued in favor of possible restrictions on individual and Constitutional liberties in the face of a viral pandemic threat.

Despite WHO’s Confidence, Mali Becomes 6th West African Nation With Ebola | Zero Hedge.
In yet another blow for the doctors fighting the spread of this deadly disease, AP reports, Mali’s health minister says the West African country has confirmed its first case of Ebola. Despite every effort to close borders, quarantine areas, and now send US troops (to do… well we are not sure really), Mali becomes the sixth West African country to report an Ebola case.

New York’s First Ebola Case? Doctor Treating Ebola Patients In Guinea Rushed To Bellevue Hosptial | Zero Hedge
Just when you thought it was safe to assume that Ebola-in-America was fixed (one day into Ron Klain’s tenure as Ebola Czar), NYPost reports some rather disquieting news. A New York City doctor – who returned from treating Ebola patients in Guinea 10 days ago – has been rushed under police escort to Bellevue Hospital… He is being tested for Ebola. Tomgram: Karen Greenberg, Will the U.S. Go to “War” Against Ebola? | TomDispatch
Tomgram: Karen Greenberg, Will the U.S. Go to “War” Against Ebola? | TomDispatch.
Sometimes, if you want to catch the essence of a moment, however, grim, you need to turn tohumor. Recently, the New Yorker’s resident satirist Andy Borowitz produced one of his patented fake news stories that began this way: “The president of CNN Worldwide, Jeff Zucker, attempted on Wednesday to defuse the brewing controversy over his decision to change the network’s official slogan from ‘The Most Trusted Name in News’ to ‘Holy Crap, We’re All Gonna Die.’”
Can there be any question that a pandemic disease, which may, by December, be spreading at the rate of 10,000 cases per week in West Africa and, in a deeply interconnected world, can head anywhere is worthy of attention, preparation, and planning? Can there be any question that a major global humanitarian effort to stem Ebola’s course in Liberia, Sierra Leone, and Guinea is imperative? Still, you have to wonder whether the second-by-second coverage of the two cases so far transmitted in this country, including the quarantining of a dog, isn’t just the usual media overkill. It’s a story that, like massive storms and extreme weather, has so many upsides for a media world that feels itself up against the wall: it’s easy to write (or film); there’s no need for “balance”; it’s guaranteed to instantly glue eyeballs at a time when your audience can be elsewhere in no-seconds flat; and it breeds overreaction and the sort of hysteria that brings in yet larger audiences, the sort that Borowitz captured so well. On the other hand, it makes reality almost impossible to grasp by denying context or perspective. Think of Ebola as the disease version of ISIS beheading videos.

Homeland Security To Restrict West Africa Travelers Entry To America | Zero Hedge
Homeland Security To Restrict West Africa Travelers Entry To America | Zero Hedge.
While President Obama has declared his experts say banning travel from the Ebola-stricken West African nations is not the optimal route to stopping the deadly virus’ spread in the US, Homeland Security has a different plan as Rep. John Conyers comments:
- *U.S. SAID TO RESTRICT TRAVELERS FROM EBOLA REGION TO 5 AIRPORTS
- *U.S. TRAVEL RULE WOULD AFFECT LIBERIA, SIERRA LEONE, GUINEA
Good thing Ron Klain is involved in the decision-making process… oh wait…

Is The US Government The Master Criminal Of Our Time? – PaulCraigRoberts.org
Is The US Government The Master Criminal Of Our Time? – PaulCraigRoberts.org.
UPDATE: As I read this notice from ClinicalTrials.gov, a service of the US National Institutes of Health, the US Government and Pharmaceutical corporations have been conducting ebola tests on humans. http://clinicaltrials.gov/show/NCT02041715
This is official confirmation of Dr. Boyle and Dr. Broderick’s reports that the US government has conducted ebola experiments. Perhaps the vaccine was not effective, and those on whom the experiment was conducted came down with ebola and perhaps also employees in the US bio-warfare laboratories located in Africa where the experiment was conducted.
It appears that the test consists of giving an ebola vaccine and then exposing the unaware person to ebola, apparently an engineered version for bio-warfare. Whatever the tests are, it is clear that Boyle and Broderick in their articles below are correct that experimentation with ebola by the US government is underway.

“Omenland” | KUNSTLER
Did a few loose strands of Ebola seep into the organs and tissues of global finance last week? The US equity markets sure enough puked, the Nikkei bled out through its eyeballs, all the collagen melted out of Greek bonds, and treasuries bloated up grotesquely on a putrid stream of terrified “liquidity” that led two Federal Reserve proctologists to maunder about the possibility of a QE-4 laxative, out of which, in due time, will surely gush explosive bloody fluxes of deeper financial sickness.
The oil price fell on its face so hard it crashed through the floorboards. One particular idiot at NPR wrote that this means peak oil was a hoax (Predictions Of ‘Peak Oil’ Production Prove Slippery). I guess she didn’t notice that the junk financing associated with shale oil capex is also dissolving like the poor late Thomas Eric Duncan’s circulatory system. That is, expect a whole lot less drilling in the Bakken and the Eagle Ford in the months ahead, and a substantial fall in production. Unless the US government finds a back door to shovel money at shale (a possibility considering the crucial myth of “Saudi America” to Wall Street psychology), the investment will not be there for the relentless drilling and re-drilling.

Doctors “Hit Breaking-Point” As Ebola Death Toll Tops 4500; Nigeria ‘Clear’ But Harvard Issues Travel Ban | Zero Hedge
The WHO is coming under increasing scrutiny over its response to the the deadly epidemic. As The BBC reports, after stating that the death toll has hit 4,555 worldwide, a leaked internal document shows “nearly everyone involved in the outbreak response failed to see some fairly plain writing on the wall.” There are a few tidbits of good news this weekend: the Spanish patient’s test returned negative, 48 “at-risk” people in Dallas have been cleared, and Nigeria has been declared “ebola-free”. Sadly, the bad news keeps coming: the virus has spread to new regions of Guinea (affecting mining operations), Moodys warns the economic legacy will linger, IMF slashes growth forecasts for Africa, and most critically, MSF doctors are at their breaking point: “The epidemic is still getting worse… I don’t see a light at the end of the tunnel.” Lastly, Harvard has imposed a travel ban from Ebola-affected nations.

Nigeria declared Ebola-free after containing virus | Reuters
Nigeria declared Ebola-free after containing virus | Reuters.
(Reuters) – The World Health Organization declared Nigeria free of the deadly Ebola virus on Monday after six weeks with no new cases, an achievement with lessons for countries still struggling to contain the deadly virus.
“This is a spectacular success story,” WHO representative Rui Gama Vaz told a news conference in the capital Abuja, where officials broke into applause when he announced that Nigeria had shaken off the disease.
“It shows that Ebola can be contained, but we must be clear that we have only won a battle, the war will only end when West Africa is also declared free of Ebola.”

Top Scientist: This Version Of Ebola Looks Like ‘A Very Different Bug’
Top Scientist: This Version Of Ebola Looks Like ‘A Very Different Bug’.
Barack Obama and the head of the CDC need to quit saying that we know exactly how Ebola spreads. Because the truth is that there is much about this virus that we simply do not know. For example, a top Ebola scientist that is working in the heart of the outbreak in Liberia says that this version of Ebola looks like it could be “a very different bug” from past versions. Other leading scientists are echoing his concerns. And yet Barack Obama and Thomas Frieden continue to publicly proclaim that we know precisely how this virus behaves. Not only is that bad science, but it could also potentially result in the unnecessary deaths of a very large number of people. For example, Obama has refused to implement an Ebola travel banbecause he is greatly underestimating the seriousness of this virus. This decision could turn out to be incredibly costly. If what you will read about below is true, we could be dealing with some sort of “super Ebola” that nobody has ever seen before.
Peter Jahrling of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease is on the front lines fighting this disease in Liberia. He is one of the top authorities in the world on Ebola, and what his team has been seeing under the microscope is incredibly sobering…

This Interview Could Save Your Life: “Consider This Your Last Wake Up Call”
This Interview Could Save Your Life: “Consider This Your Last Wake Up Call”.
There is no shortage of potential worst-case scenarios that all seem to be converging. The Ebola crisis has been at the top of the headlines as of late, but though they’re not being talked about in any serious capacity, we are still facing other threats to our livelihoods elsewhere – mass migrations of people and criminal elements across our southern border, a military face-off in Europe, terrorist armies in the middle east, and the real possibility of an unprecedented economic collapse on a global scale.
In a recent Daily Coin interview Survival Blog founder James Rawles suggests that this may well be our last wake-up call. Consider, for example, that there are hundreds of thousands of Americans out there right now with no idea what to do should this virus spread. They assume the government will soon have the contagion under control, and even if Ebola can’t be stopped, people are banking on the notion that emergency responders will be there for them when they need help. Assuming the hospitals don’t get overwhelmed and that food doesn’t get stripped from the store shelves in panic buying, then yes, things should be just fine. But what happens if the worst-case scenario does play out, and Ebola continues to infect more people across America?
