Presidential Bomb Threats at the UN

Presidential Bomb Threats at the UN

Donald Trump denounced North Korea and its president Kim Jong-un as “depraved” before the United Nations Sept. 19, saying the nation “threatens the entire world with unthinkable loss of life.” Of course, North Korea can barely feed itself, and yet has to defend itself against an onslaught of Western hostility, UN sanctions, and ongoing US/South Korean war games which are rehearsals for an invasion of the North. It tests rockets and bombs to be sure, just as the US and its allies and adversaries do all year round. It’s big business.

Trump’s claim that North Korea is threatening is preposterous since it has no deliverable nuclear weapons at all. Secretary of Defense James Mattis said last week that North Korea is no danger to the United States. In June 2016, the Institute for Science and International Security reported that Pyongyang may have between 13 and 21 warheads. The CIA, whose job it is to find hostile weapons (even where they don’t exist) says Pyongyang has at most about 21. US intelligence agencies’ combined estimates are that while it may have miniaturized a nuclear warhead, North Korea has no missile that can drop them on the United States. The Federation of American Scientists is more skeptical and estimates it has “potentially produce[d] 10-20 nuclear warheads.”

Like an 8th grade imbecile contradicting and humiliating himself in nearly every sentence, Trump claimed in his speech that North Korean President Kim Jong-un “is on a suicide mission.” In April 2016 Trump had called Kim a “smart cookie.” There is absolutely no evidence of Kim being suicidal, in fact quite the opposite since the North’s military missile and nuclear program are aimed at fending off a repeat of the Korean War in which, according to US Air Force General Curtis LeMay, “we burned down every town in North Korea.”

The Insanity in Korea – But Is it Logical?

The South China Post reported that Chinese scientists fear that a mountain in North Korea under which the last five bombs detonated as tests, may collapse crumbling into a crater. They fear that the radiation underground would then leak across region.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has warned that the escalating crisis concerning North Korea’s weapons program is placing the world at risk of developing into a “global catastrophe” with massive casualties. Putin has UNREALISTICALLY said that the only way to resolve the crisis was through diplomacy. For that to be even a possibility, it requires talking. Kim Jong Un has not even met with the leader of China – its once closet Allies.

Let’s put this is perspective. Why is Kim pushing the world to the brink? Kim Jong Un looks at this differently He believes that the survival of his regime depends on possessing nuclear weapons. He is most likely NOT interested in starting a nuclear war for he cannot be so stupid to believe he would win. Yet, Kim also realizes that the prospect of the USA sending a nuke to North Korea is also not likely for that would antagonize China and risk pollution drifting to South Korea and Japan, not to mention China. So with all the saber rattling, Kim is not stupid and realizes that the USA cannot launch a first strike.

Now, what is the goal of Kim? To be honest, Kim Jong Un does not trust the USA for from the outsider perspective, he has watched how American intervention in Iraq ended in the overthrow of Saddam Hussein, his execution as well as family members, and left the country ravaged by war and a puppet of Washington.

North Korea Is “Begging For War”: Haley Tells Un “The Time For Half-Measures Is Over”

North Korea Is “Begging For War”: Haley Tells Un “The Time For Half-Measures Is Over”

U.S. United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley is escalating the rhetoric from Trump’s “we’ll see” comment and aggressive tweets as she tells an emergency meeting of the U.N. Security Council, that “enough is enough” and that North Korea’s leader, Kim Jong Un, is “begging for war” with his “abusive use of missiles.”

Haley admonished the council, urging the “strongest possible” response…

The time for half measures in the security council is over. The time has come to exhaust all of our diplomatic means before it is too late.

We must now adopt the strongest possible measures. Kim Jong Un’s action cannot be seen as defensive.”

Just last month, the 15-member Security Council unanimously adopted new sanctions to slash by a third Pyongyang’s US$3 billion annual export revenue, which could be channeled to fund its nuclear and ballistic missile programs.

“We have taken an incremental approach, and despite the best intentions, it hasn’t worked.

“War is never something the United States wants, we don’t want it now, but our people’s patience is not unlimited.”

“We have kicked the can down the road long enough. There is no road left.”

Finally, Haley warned,

“The United States will view every country that does business with North Korea” as aiding their nuclear ambitions.”

Here are the countries that trade with North Korea, based on 2015 data from MIT’s Observatory of Economic Complexity.

  • China is the biggest player, buying 83% of North Korean exports and selling 85% of the goods that North Korea imports. China is also the United States’ largest trade partner. The countries traded $578 billion in goods last year.
  • India is second, accounting for 3.5% of exports and 3.1% of imports from North Korea.
  • All told, Asian countries buy 92% of North Korean exports and source 93% of North Korean imports

US May Launch Preemptive Strike On North Korea Ahead Of Nuclear Test

US May Launch Preemptive Strike On North Korea Ahead Of Nuclear Test

With just two days to go until North Korea’s “Day of the Sun” celebrations, when as reported yesterday it may conduct its 6th nuclear test at the Punggye-ri Nuclear Test Site, NBC reports citing multiple senior U.S. intelligence officials that in the latest stepwise escalation, the U.S. is prepared to launch a preemptive strike with conventional weapons against North Korea should officials become convinced that Kim Jong-Un’s nation North Korea is about to follow through with a nuclear weapons test. Note: North Korea does not even have to carry out the text: mere conviction on the side of the US that it would, is sufficient.

As first reported yesterday, North Korea warned that a “big event” is near, and U.S. officials say signs point to a nuclear test that could come as early as this weekend. According to multiple sources, the U.S. intelligence community has reported with “moderate confidence” that North Korea is preparing for its sixth underground nuclear test, though the U.S. is also in the dark regarding the specific timing.

The launch of a preemptive attack would naturally threatens a counterattack by Kim: the U.S. is thus “worried” that its strikes could provoke the volatile and unpredictable North Korean regime to launch its own blistering attack on its southern neighbor. “The leadership in North Korea has shown absolutely no sign or interest in diplomacy or dialogue with any of the countries involved in this issue,” said Victor Cha, the Korea Chair at the Center for Strategic and International Studies.

Meanwhile, intelligence officials have told NBC News that the U.S. Navy has positioned two destroyers capable of shooting Tomahawk cruise missiles in the region, one just 300 miles from the North Korean nuclear test site. .

Profound Events Are Taking Place In Russia and North Korea: ‘There Are Destabilizing Forces At Work Here’

Profound Events Are Taking Place In Russia and North Korea: ‘There Are Destabilizing Forces At Work Here’

grand-chessboard

As of this writing a tremendous number of things are happening in North Korea and Russia.  Although these are not events that seem momentous, they are quite profound when taken into consideration with the grand scheme: the worldwide plot to form a state of global governance.  These behind-the-scenes maneuverings are not in the forefront of the news; however, they are having effects within the nations mentioned and influencing their current actions.

Almost a month ago, it was reported that one of the foremost militia commanders in the separatist-controlled Donbass area of Eastern Ukraine was assassinated via car bomb.  Then almost immediately afterward, just a few weeks later, the Chief of Staff of the Ukrainian Army of the Kiev government mysteriously died on duty of a “heart condition” although he was in his early fifties.  These “tit for tat” actions stimulated a new wave of fighting in the Eastern Provinces.

The truce between the separatists and Kiev government has been violated without ceasing, primarily by the Ukrainian military under the direction of the US-sponsored president of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko.  At this time, there is an uneasy “stalemate” between the U.S. and Russia in a proxy war between the U.S-backed Kiev government and the Eastern Ukrainian separatists supported by Russia.

Next, we have North Korea, where Kim Jong Un is ramping up the bellicose rhetoric against the U.S.  Yes, we have heard it before, but this time it is a little different.  On Monday, 45-year-old Kim Jong Nam, the half-brother of North Korean dictator Kim Jong Il was assassinated in Malaysia.  Here is an excerpt of a report on it:

North Korea Declares State Of War After Argument Over Loudspeaker Spirals Out Of Control

North Korea Declares State Of War After Argument Over Loudspeaker Spirals Out Of Control

Kim Jong-un has declared a state of war following an escalation of hostilities across the DMZ. Here’s Xinhua:

The top leader of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) Kim Jong Un has ordered the country’s frontline combined forces to enter state of war from 5pm (0830 GMT) Friday. the official KCNA news agency reported Friday, the official KCNA news agency reported early Friday.

Kim made the order at an emergency enlarged meeting of the central military commission of the ruling Workers’ Party of Korea, said the report.

He ordered the forces to be well armed to cope with any possible operations at any time. Kim also gave the order that the frontline area enter quasi state of war from 5 pm Friday.

During the emergency meeting, political and military countermeasures aimed to smash the enemy’s war provocations were discussed while the military’s combat plan of the frontline command was approved, according to the KCNA.

How did it come to this you ask? Below is the amusing backstory…

North Korea’s Kim Jong-un – the world’s sabre rattler par excellence – doesn’t like to stray too far from the spotlight when it comes to global conflict, which is why we weren’t terribly surprised when, a few days ago, the pariah state threatened to invadethe US mainland and use “weapons unknown to the world.”

Of course a lot of what goes on inside the country is “unknown to the world”, much as the world is largely “unknown” to North Koreans and that’s just fine with Kim, whose regime depends on a combination of propaganda and censorship to keep the populace transfixed in a perpetual state of hypnotic hero worship.
