Ukraine To Impose Martial Law After Russia “Fires At Ukraine Ships”, Seizes Three Vessels Off Crimea
Ukraine’s government is requesting vote on imposition of martial law for 60 days, it has yet to be voted on to be implemented and has not been implemented or made official until after vote and it is approved.

Pretty extraordinary step given that Poroshenko didn’t do this when Russian troops flooded into Ukrainian soil and many died in bloody battles. Ukraine may point to the open nature of these sea clashes but the spectre of March’s elections and Poroshenko’s poor polling also looms.
