Covid, Economy & Election: QTR On Peak Prosperity

Covid, Economy & Election: QTR On Peak Prosperity

Last week I was interviewed by the great Chris Martenson of Peak Prosperity in a wide ranging interview that covered topics like Covid, the economy and the political future of the country.

Chris was one of the only people during the onset of Covid who was looking through the mainstream media’s narrative and was doing his own research. He has a PhD in neurotoxicology from Duke University, and an MBA from Cornell University.

Video of our full 2 hour interview is at the bottom of this article.

“Without necessary guardrails and consequences the failed leadership of DC and the Fed have taken us down a paths that had a binary outcome; bad and worse,” Chris writes on his site describing our interview.

First we covered the suppression of ivermectin and other drugs during the beginning of Covid. Chris asked me about whether or not blackballing these drugs had to do with getting the vaccines to market.

I told him: “That was a conspiracy theory back in 2021: they needed to shut you up about hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin so that they could utilize the EUA.”

“Now, looking back, it’s not a conspiracy theory; it’s the leading cause. I mean, applying Occam’s Razor 99 times out of 100, that’s the answer you’re going to arrive at—not that anybody on your channel doesn’t already know this. You’re a grown adult; you probably know to some degree the answer is pretty much always ‘follow the money.’,” I told him.

Simon Michaux: The Green Energy Myth

Simon Michaux: The Green Energy Myth

Green energy, it turns out, is something of a myth.  And, given all that’s at stake, a rather dangerous myth. Welcome to this Off The Cuff podcast with Professor Simon Michaux

placeholder image

There is no topic more important than today’s.  Everything hinges on “us” getting it right.  And by us I mean the entire global population.

That topic is energy.  Specifically, the energy transition away from fossil fuels generally but oil most urgently.  Why?  Because oil is central to everything about our current way of life.  The capital markets only function while expanding, literally millions of distinct products find the headwaters of their genesis in building blocks derived from oil.  95% of everything moves from point A to point B moves because of oil.

Heck, you eat oil in the form of oil-extracted or produced fertilizers, tractor activity, pesticides, and herbicides, and the fact that the average calorie you eat first traveled 1,500 miles before landing on your plate, every mile of that enabled by oil.

If we get this transition wrong – either by failing to plan appropriately or, worse, fibbing to ourselves by selling a set of technologies that cannot do what we’ll need them to do – then massive pain awaits.  Economies will crash, as will populations.  Wars will be fought.

Today we’re talking with Simon Michaux, an associate professor of geo-metallurgy at the Geological Survey of Finland and a key figure in the Circular Economy Solutions Unit.  Dr. Michaux has done the math.  He’s taken the time to study mining and resources and then performs some simple arithmetic to determine that…uh oh…we haven’t got a chance in the world of making an easy energy transition.  None.  The reasons are many, but the core of the problem is we’ve put the wrong people in charge and allowed flawed narratives to take flight unchallenged.

Below the Surface: An Interview with Whitney Webb

At Peak Prosperity we will interview anybody at any time about anything as long as we believe we have something we can learn from them. Today we are talking with investigative journalist Whitney Webb about media corruption and the webs of power underpinning current events and the impending Great Reset.

Whitney is one of the few remaining investigative journalists and is widely respected for her incisive analysis and fearlessness in digging below the surface.  Her reporting is featured at her site, Unlimited Hangout, and she regularly writes for the Last American Vagabond.

TRANSCRIPT

Chris Martenson:      Welcome, everyone, to this Peak Prosperity podcast. I’m your host, Dr. Chris Martenson. And today, we’re going to take a deep dive with one of the very few remaining investigative journalists and certainly, one of the most fearless; Whitney Webb.

Now, we’ve received many, many requests to have Whitney on the show. And so, if you were one of those people sending in that suggestion; first, thank you. And second, you’re in for a real treat today.

However, I am going to put a caution on this episode. We’re going to cover topics that many would – and quite rightly – find upsetting. And I recognize that I have an unusually high tolerance for engaging in such inquiry and exploring concepts, no matter how dark or frightening they might be, as long as they come with data.

Now, many people, hey, they’re not built this way and that’s perfectly okay. I honor and respect that sort of diversity. And as always, if this content is not adding constructively to your life, then, I’ll trust you to make that determination.

Money, Bad Policies, Inflation & You

The global financial system and economy are a house or cards.  Built on an unsustainable underpinning to ever-increasing debt the financial system is, as far as I am concerned, irretrievably insolvent.

To truly grasp this you need to understand the basics of banking and currency (what we call money, but really isn’t because it doesn’t satisfy all three necessary preconditions to be called such).  This is briefly covered in this episode.

With that basic grounding we can appreciate the vast gap between the claims on true wealth and the amount of true wealth (lots of currency, not as much ‘stuff’) and now can discuss the immense pain coming to those with fewer resources to combat rapidly rising inflation.

Even worse, a true energy emergency in Europe is going to really create a lot of headaches and financial heartaches for a lot of people.  With this essential context you can begin to build up a personal resilience plan to weather it all as best you can.  But it all begins by having the right frame of view and sufficient information and context.

These Are The ‘Good Old Days’

If you prefer to listen to the author read this article, Click Here.

Bill was 48 when his wife stunned him with a request for divorce.  Right up until that moment, he’d thought everything was fine.

He’d been pouring all his energy into his work to provide a very comfortable life for his wife and 2 children.  But she was unhappy and fell out of love while Bill wasn’t paying attention to matters at home.  He’d taken her for granted and forgot to be present for the most important people in his life, and to be grateful in the moment.

After she was gone, Bill was filled with emptiness and regret. All he wanted was to get her back, but it was too late.  The damage had been done.  What he had before was now in the past.

This parable of Bill’s loss serves as a reminder to all of us that, with all that’s awry in the world, it’s all too easy for those of us who are paying attention to gripe about everything that’s going wrong.

Yes, there are many trends that are headed on the wrong trajectory.  But this tumultuous period of history also affords each of us the fantastic opportunity to contribute positively to the new future that’s on the way.

Please take this article an invitation to be grateful for what you have, and to notice just how wonderful our current lifestyle truly is.  It won’t remain this way, as I’ll expound on in a moment.

War On Truth

Welcome.

Maybe you got here because you followed a link from YouTube, or Twitter, or Facebook.  Or maybe you’re already a long-time reader, in which case welcome back.

Below, once you are signed into this site (which requires registration for all newcomers) you will be able to access (for free, of course) today’s video which builds upon and goes further than the one posted to YouTube.

Why are we doing this?  Because we cannot risk being deplatformed.  We already have had one video taken down by YouTube for our strictly scientific coverage of a review paper of Ivermectin (IVM) put out by some of the most accomplished critical care medical doctors in the world.

It’s nothing personal, their own video of Dr Kory’s testimony to the US Senate was taken down and deleted by YouTube.

But chilling nonetheless.   It sucks, and here we are.

Our response?  Put relatively benign, non-objectionable content out on YouTube but then put what we actually want to say here, on our own site, and behind a soft wall (registration required).

Why the soft wall?  Because our biggest foes are scammers, spammers, bots, and Google’s prying eyes and spiders which will scrape our content and potentially misuse it against us.

Are we over-reacting?  No, in fact we may be underreacting.  Behind the scenes we are having daily conversations with other content creators who are battling their own waves of censorship that lack both any defensible rationale and a party you could actually talk to on the other end of the social giant machinery.

So what’s down there that’s worth your time?  Today I discuss:

  • Ivermectin and the war against it.
  • The various strategies in play to confuse the public’s perception of IVM
  • Provide direct actions you can take to inform your doctor about IVM

Welcome To The Interregnum

hands fighting over crown

Your unease has a name: Zozobra

We’re between things.  It’s an uncomfortable place.

We are transitioning from an old story into a new one and that has folks feeling anxious.   By “we” I mean everyone on the planet.  If you find yourself with a deep sense of unease, yet unable to quite pin it down, you will find this article extremely helpful.

The old story of endless growth on a finite planet is winding down.  Whatever replaces it won’t be a continuation of the past.  Things are going to have to change, whether we like it or not.

Put more bluntly: the easy times are over, and a period of disruption has begun.

It may be many years or even decades before thing truly settle into a new equilibrium (of sorts – there really isn’t any such thing in this ever-changing universe).  The old will fall away even before the new has arrived. That process has already begun, hence the nervousness, anger, and fear.

My day job is serving as an information scout, an ambassador of the unknown, and because of that I’m acutely aware of the degree to which people are already worn down, burnt out, and unable to process any more.

Folks are so exhausted by the trials and tribulations dished up by the crazy-making machine fondly referred to as “2020,” that many are paralyzed.  Unable to take new actions because they are overwhelmed.

Yet, as I wrote recently, no choice IS a choice.  When so much is changing and so much is on the line, remaining frozen with anxiety is as much a determinant of your future prospects as taking swift action – each sets one down different paths promising different outcomes.

It doesn’t have to be this way

This is insane. Even when something dead-nuts safe like Vitamin D finally emerges, irrefutably, to be of massive benefit, what does the UK NHS do? They decide to ship only 400 IU per patient/day.

That’s roughly 1/10th what’s needed to boost serum levels to the safe and effective range of 50 ng/ml.

A ‘futurecast’ from Hannibal Spotsbury explains what comes next.

Also the Drug Which Shall Not Be Named (DWSNBN) is back in the news.  This time from India where it conferred a 90% reduction in Covid cases among high risk health care workers. Add it all up and there’s a TON that we could be doing to effectively limit the spread and severity of Covid…but aren’t.

It doesn’t have to be this way.

We Are Pawns In A Bigger Game Than We Realize

“I had grasped the significance of the silence of the dog, for one true inference invariably suggests others…. Obviously the midnight visitor was someone whom the dog knew well.”

~ Sherlock Holmes – The Adventures of Silver Blaze

Is it possible to make sense out of nonsense?

So much these days is an incoherent mess.  It’s complete nonsense.

Page 1 excitedly beams about a glorious rebound in GDP.  Yay economic growth!

Page 2 worryingly notes the near complete failure of Siberian arctic ice to reform during October and that hurricane Zeta (so many storms this year we’re now into the Greek alphabet!) has made punishing landfall.

Each is a narrative. Each has its own inner logic.

But they simply do not have any external coherence to each other. It’s nonsensical to be excited about rising economic growth while also concerned that each new unit of growth takes the planet further past a critical red line.

These narratives are incompatible. So which one should we pick?

Well, in the end, reality always has the final say. As Guy McPherson states: Nature bats last.

So better we choose to follow the narrative that hews closest to what reality actually is, vs what we desperately want it to be.

‘They’ Don’t Care About Us

While issues like climate change and economic growth may be difficult to fully grasp and unravel, direct threats to our lives &/or livelihoods are much more concrete and something we can react to and resist.

Such immediate and direct threats are now fully in play and, once again, they’re accompanied by narratives that are completely at odds with each other.  I’m speaking of Covid and the ways in which our national and global managers are choosing to respond (or not).

Censorship is Out of Control

Censorship is Out of Control

The Illusion Is Failing

Sometimes the magic fails.

The secret to the trick is accidentally revealed. The woman was always in the box.  The eye is no longer deceived. And there’s no getting the audience’s sense of awe back.

Just like a bungled illusion, once trust is broken, it’s gone.

For many during 2020, the loss of their jobs and businesses — in many cases due to incompetent government management of the pandemic — has been both a blessing and a curse.

Of course nobody likes being laid off or losing a business they’d carefully built up over the years.

But for a significant number of those people, however, they’ve now been given time (against their will, admittedly) to reflect and realize how much they hated their work in the first place.  For them, the illusion has been broken.

They won’t go back to pretending their former lives were acceptable or tolerable, and they’re actively looking for employment that better fits their values.  Time for something new.

Others have realized how much they really disliked what air travel had devolved into. With its demeaning theater of faux displays of ‘safety’– being groped by TSA agents and having to perform a striptease to get personal items through the security scanners.

I’m one of these folks.  I’ll be traveling a lot less in the future, no matter what happens with the SARS-2 virues. I’ll be content to stay local and conduct my business via Zoom calls as much as can possibly be done.  I won’t miss the pat-downs, delays, crowded seats, and cancelled flights.

Similarly, social media has now been revealed to be run by petulant sociopaths whose goal is for you to see exactly what content they want you to see, because that fits their profit incentive.  But they do so under the guise of “protecting” us from uninteresting or inappropriate material.
