Why Republics Are Always the Worst Form of Government

COMMENT: I think the only woman he shook hands with, ironically, was Margery Taylor Green, if that was her – it’s hard to tell these days. Another troubling idea he introduced, if I’m not mistaken, was to start indoctrinating kids in junior kindergarten.

At the end everybody crowded around Biden and held his fists for at least 15 minutes. I guess the virus left the room by then.
Swamp feeding the swamp. We the People have become We the Government.

REPLY: I find it very disturbing for this entire political mess is eating away at the very foundation of society. This is no longer Democrat v Republican, this has become the People v the Swamp. I find it interesting that 60%+ of Americans feel we need a third party. Even 70% of Republicans had said they would follow Trump confirming the support for Party Politics is declining rapidly.

I have said plainly that Trump was naive. They picked his cabinet and that is why he was in conflict with most from the start. You had people like Bolton going against him because he wanted to pull the troops out of Afghanistan. You hear not even a peep now that Biden is doing it.

Look at Britain, you have Boris Johnson a purported CONSERVATIVE acting like a total dictator. This is no longer political insofar as one party against another. As governments start to implode moving closer to 2032, what is collapsing is simply this form of Republican governments. Because of the fake news of Cicero, they thought Julius Caesar was a dictator against the people when it was precisely the opposite. The Senate fled because the people did not support the SWAMP back then.

“Toto, I Don’t Think We’re in Kansas Anymore”

“Toto, I Don’t Think We’re in Kansas Anymore”

Recently, an American colleague commented to me, “We no longer live in a democracy but a dictatorship disguised as a democracy.”

Is he correct? Well, a dictatorship may be defined as “a form of government in which absolute authority is exercised by a dictator.”

The US today is not be ruled by dictatorship (although, to some, it may well feel that way.)

But, if that’s the case, what form of rule does exist in the US?

At its formation, the founding fathers argued over whether the United States should be a republic or a democracy. Those founders who later formed the Federalist Party felt that it should be a democracy – rule by representatives elected by the people. Thomas Jefferson, who created the Democratic Republican Party, argued that it should be a republic – a state in which the method of governance is democracy, but the principle of governance is that the rights of the individual are paramount.

He argued that, “Democracy is nothing more than mob rule, where fifty one percent can vote away the rights of the other forty nine.”

At that time, Benjamin Franklin has been credited as saying, “Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for dinner.”

Very well stated.

As Americans still legally vote, and it may well be that the voting is not altogether rigged, the US could be regarded as a democracy. Of course, to be accurate, it could also be defined as a bureaucracy – rule by officialdom, and/or a plutocracy – rule by the very rich. Both of these descriptions are undeniably accurate.

Rome & the Birth of the United States

order OF THE CINCINNATI

QUESTION: Mr. Armstrong; Are you saying they never intended to create a democracy since the founding fathers created the Electoral College?

ANSWER: Correct. We have a republic and not a democracy, despite the fact they call this a democracy. You vote for delegates to represent you. The rules allow them to defeat any public choice and claim that is the law. At the time of the founding, the popular research that was emerging had to do with Rome. Above is an Order of the Cincinnati founded by George Washington who was inspired by the Roman dictator Lucius Quinctius Cincinnatus (519–430 BC), the aristocrat and statesman who served as consul in 460 BC and dictator in 458 BC and 439 BC, which made him a model of integrity and virtue. The Romans regarded Cincinnatus as a hero. When Rome was invaded, he was called to serve Rome as dictator, which was an office for one year. He defended the nation and then resigned two weeks later after defeating the rival tribes of the Aequians, Sabines, and Volscians. His immediate resignation of power demonstrated his integrity and lack of personal ambition. Washington would not accept the office of president until he had resigned as military leader and returned to private life. The Founding Fathers were deeply impressed with the battle of Rome against its Tarquin king that gave birth to a republic. Unfortunately, as we are experiencing now, all republics devolve into oligarchies.

Ben Franklin on one occasion, was dining at a Paris restaurant and learned that Edward Gibbon, the British historian of the “Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire,” was there as well. Franklin invited Gibbon to his table, but Gibbon refused, remarking that since he was loyal to George III, he wouldn’t speak with a rebel like Franklin.

.01% always devolve republics into oligarchies, co-opt all revolutions; so how can this coming revolution create lasting victory of virtue?

I keep three coins in my pocket: a US silver Half-Dollar from 1839 that my grandfather also kept in his pocket, an American colonial copper Halfpenny from 1749, and a Roman Republic bronze Triens from 211/210 BC.

I carry them to connect me to family (biological and spiritual), and to the work of realizing Enlightenment and US founding ideals of truth, technology, and love.

Those ideals have never been realized on Earth for long. Human status of having every revolution and movement co-opted/recuperated by our .01% oligarchs is important to consider in light of Earth’s status of ending today’s .01% Emperor’s New Clothes obvious crimes centering in war, money, and lies.

I’ll use these three coins to illustrate status, and consider areas of strength for lasting victory of virtue.

1839: This coin was struck just 13 years after the death of Thomas Jefferson, when Abe Lincoln was 20, and seven years before Lincoln would prove US President Polk was a war-mongering and treaty-violating liar to steal half of Mexico in 1846. My grandfather who carried this coin told the story that as a boy he would shake hands with the old-timer who told stories of shaking Lincoln’s hand. Both of my grandfathers were lied-into WW1, which had nothing to do with promises of another US President to “make the world safe for democracy,” and a “war to end all wars.” In connection to wars for every generation, my father, father-in-law, and only uncle experienced horrific “war service” in WW2. My older brother would have been drafted into the illegal and lie-started Vietnam War had it continued another year.

10 Disturbing Facts Most Americans Are Too Fearful To Face

10 Disturbing Facts Most Americans Are Too Fearful To Face

American OstrichSometimes you have to put out information in hopes that those who haven’t heard this will at least absorb a fraction of it. If you haven’t heard this and you absorb just one of these random points, I believe that may be enough to cause a major paradigm shift in your life or in the life of someone you know. Here are 10 random, mostly recent but some archival information that is factual and verifiable for anyone willing to look it up.

1. Genetically Modified Foods are illegal in many countries for health and medical reasons all the while the U.S. passes laws making GMO labeling illegal.

You may be thinking, say what? That’s right. U.S. citizens are being propagandized daily and are being practically forced to blindly consume GMOs while countries like Austria, Bulgaria, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Japan, Luxembourg, Madeira, New Zealand, Peru, Australia, Russia, France and Switzerland all have booted Monsanto and their GMO crops from their countries. That’s like being booted out of a town for being a rapist and child molester only to have that same person settle into the next town over and become a grade school teacher or pastor. Now imagine the citizens of that other town having a law forced on them that says rapists and child molesters must be allowed to teach little kids and run churches. That’s what we’re talking about here.

While humanity in other countries wakes up fully to the dangers of GMO foods, Monsanto and other GMO food producers are having a feast in the U.S. buying out politicians, distorting news, research and evidence that proves GMO foods are directly linked to cancer. Like a scene from a bad movie, only it’s not a movie. Actually it’s YOUR life if you are in the United States dealing with this nightmare.

America’s Biggest Lie – Dictatorship Or Democracy?

America’s Biggest Lie – Dictatorship Or Democracy?

The Deceit About Being A ‘Republic’ Versus A ‘Democracy’

One of my recent articles at several sites, “Jimmy Carter Is Correct That the U.S. Is No Longer a Democracy” generated many reader-comments (such as here) saying things like, “The US has always been a republic. There are no true democracies in the modern world.” This will be my response to all who expressed that view:

You miss the point that Carter made, and that I there documented to be true, which is no semantic issue (“democracy” versus “republic”), but which instead concerns the basic lie about what the United States of America really is now:

Is this a representative democracy, such as its Founders intended and such as it was famous and honored throughout the world for being, until at least around 1980?

Or, is it instead a nation that’s ruled by a tiny elite, an aristocracy, which in this country consists of its 500 or so billionaires, who buy the politicians whom ‘we’ ‘elect’?

Is the U.S. now, basically, a fraud? Is it a dictatorship, instead of a democracy? Is it some kind of aristocracy, which controls the government here?

That’s not a semantic issue, at all. America’s first political party was called the “Democratic Republican Party,” but could as well have been called the Democratic Party or the Republican Party, because those two terms are essentially synonymous in any nation that has a large population, in which the public elect representatives to represent them, instead of directly vote on the policies that the government is to pursue — to place into its law, and to enforce by its duly authorized police or otherwise, and to adjudicate by democratically appointed judges and/or juries.

US fall from virtuous republic to tragic-comic empire described perfectly by Roman historians

US fall from virtuous republic to tragic-comic empire described perfectly by Roman historians

The ancient Greek historian, Polybius, celebrated the Roman republic of ~ 150 BC under its constitution with balance of powers among the Senate, two elected consuls, and the general citizens:

“Such being the power that each part has of hampering the others or co-operating with them, their union is adequate to all emergencies, so that it is impossible to find a better political system than this.”  – The Histories, Book VI, Section V: On the Roman Constitution at its Prime

Americans and people around the world were equally proud of the United States Constitution as “impossible to find a better political system than this.”

About 100 years after Polybius’ account, Rome’s republic had descended into oligarchic competition for power. Contemporary to Julius Caesar, the Roman historian and government insider Sallust blasted the decline of virtue in government:

“To those who had easily endured toils, dangers, and doubtful and difficult circumstances, ease and wealth, the objects of desire to others, became a burden and a trouble. At first the love of money, and then that of power, began to prevail, and these became, as it were, the sources of every evil. For avarice subverted honesty, integrity, and other honorable principles, and, in their stead, inculcated pride, inhumanity, contempt of religion, and general venality. Ambition prompted many to become deceitful; to keep one thing concealed in the breast, and another ready on the tongue; to estimate friendships and enmities, not by their worth, but according to interest; and to carry rather a specious countenance than an honest heart. These vices at first advanced but slowly, and were sometimes restrained by correction; but afterwards, when their infection had spread like a pestilence, the state was entirely changed, and the government, from being the most equitable and praiseworthy, became rapacious and insupportable.” – Conspiracy of Catiline, The Argument

The Federal Reserve Bank Must Be Destroyed!

The Federal Reserve Bank Must Be Destroyed!

“Delanda est in Susidium Foederatum Bank”

(The Federal Reserve Bank Must be Destroyed)

During the years of the Roman Republic, Cato the Elder ended every speech with the phrase “Delanda est Carthago” (Carthage must be destroyed). Rome had fought two wars with Carthage, yet the threat to the Republic remained. Cato saw Carthage as an existential threat and concluded that Rome would not be secure as long as Carthage existed. So fervently did he hold this view that he ended every speech, even about completely different subjects, with the famous phrase. I believe that we Austrians need to adopt a similar phrase to remind the American people that the US faces an existential threat from the machinations of the Federal Reserve Bank. “Delanda est in Susidium Foederatum Bank”…The Federal Reserve Bank must be destroyed. Like Carthage, the Federal Reserve Bank cannot be controlled or restrained. Either it or our republic will survive, but not both. For the sake of our nation, the Fed must be destroyed.
