Schumer Confirms the Deep State Runs the Country

Here is that interview people have asked about where Chuck Schumer confirms that no politician will EVER investigate the intelligence branch — NSA, CIA, FBI, or DOJ. They hold unbridled power to do as they like when they like.

The probability that the CIA took out John F. Kennedy has long been suspected, and the CIA has refused to release documents that Congress had sealed for 50 years. They claim it is a national security issue, and if it were Russia, they would be flouting that documentation all over the press. The ONLY reason to refuse to release documents is that they will lead to the intelligence community who wanted to start the war with Vietnam, which Kennedy opposed.

There is the declassified proposal that Kennedy also rejected. The CIA wanted to kill Americans and then blame it on Castro to justify invading Cuba. And people wonder about 9/11? The Russian hack that they boast was discovered by the intelligence community never took place. Russians never hacked the Democratic Party servers.

Welcome to the land of the free, where our claimed elected officials are afraid to investigate the intelligence community. Schumer calls Trump stupid, for he should have known how powerful they really were. They wanted Biden so they could do as they liked whenever. Calling Trump stupid for criticizing the intelligence community confirms that neither he nor anyone else in Washington would dare to shake up or stir the intelligence community.

Schumer vs. the Climate: Manchin’s Criminally Insane Promotion

Schumer vs. the Climate: Manchin’s Criminally Insane Promotion

Hell hath no fury like Chuck Schumer scorned.

If I read Chuck Schumer correctly, he generally assumes his progressive opponents are powerless wimps and that he can just serve his Wall Street and AIPAC masters without taking our views or feelings into account. Or even that we’re “fucking retarded,” as Schumer evidently believes but it took Rahm Emanuel to actually say.Schumer, by contrast, typically goes about his business of screwing progressives without getting too emotionally or verbally worked up about us.

But occasionally—I hope ever increasingly—we progressives manage to get under his skin and Schumer does (usually not says) something incredibly spiteful. And potentially incredibly stupid, provided Schumer has severely underestimated his progressive opponents’ numbers, resolve, and strategic savvy.

Now, given progressives’ long years of political impotence—the same history of futile tethering to the anti-progressive Democratic Party that prompted Rahm Emanuel to ask, “Where the hell will they go?”—Schumer’s calculus of screwing progressives without backlash has worked incredibly well. Perhaps an occasional grumble of protest (say, by the ACLU and the Center for Constitutional Rights) when he actually sought to violate the Constitution, as Schumer’s irrational level of aversion to the BDS movement (abetted by Congress’s largest AIPAC-sponsored donations) rashly compelled him to do. But nothing like career-threatening backlash from his rashness; such a powerful shield is Schumer’s prowess as a Wall Street fundraiser for Democratsthat it’s been long years since he’s even faced the indignity of a primary.

But now a new generation of progressives—ones at long last serious about forcing Democrats to address humanity’s climate emergency—has nettled Schumer into a gesture of unprecedented rashness and stupidity, one that could inflict enormous lasting damage on his political career.

Chris Hedges on Trump’s ‘Naked Kleptocracy’

Chris Hedges on Trump’s ‘Naked Kleptocracy’

Truthdig contributor Chris Hedges recently made an appearance on the RT show “Watching the Hawks” to analyze the future of American politics under President Trump. Right off the bat, Hedges is asked what he sees as “the most compelling or intriguing aspect of this election.”

“Utter blindness of the Democratic Party,” he answers. “And I would have to add the Republican elites, epitomized by Jeb Bush and others.”

Hedges, who once characterized the choice between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump as a choice between  neoliberalism and fascism, expands upon the ideological forces at play behind Trump’s popularity.

The Americans who voted for Trump “picked a faux-populist,” Hedges says. “They picked a figure who’s a con artist, who told them what they wanted to hear.”

As for the incoming Trump administration, Hedges believes it will be “a naked kleptocracy.”

Hedges, referencing his Truthdig column “Con vs. Con,” notes that Trump is a con man—but his way of deceiving the American public is more “naked” than that of the political establishment.

Hedges states that, moving forward, he doesn’t believe the Democratic Party will recognize its blind spots. He argues, for instance, that Sen. Chuck Schumer “is the go-to guy if you want Wall Street money in the Democratic Party” and that Schumer “epitomizes all the characteristics that the electorate turned against.”

President-elect Trump, Hedges continues, won’t be able to stand up to these establishment forces because Trump is “malleable and easily manipulated.”

“I just don’t see him having either the experience or the fortitude to stand up against the deep state,” Hedges says. “And let’s be fair, Obama didn’t either.”

He also discusses the faux-threat of Russia and the growing “new McCarthyism” here in the United States.

Finally, Hedges is questioned about the future of the American political system: Is there anything to be hopeful for?
