Record unemployment, failed foreign policies and domestic strife is the new normal. And how is the brain trust in DC going to solve these problems? National service for all 18 &#8211; to 28-year-olds!<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"b-article__audio\">\n<div class=\"b-inject__audio\">\n<div id=\"jquery_jplayer_1023887092\" class=\"jp-jplayer\" data-for=\"#jp_container_1023887092\" data-url=\"http:\/\/ria.ru\/aurora\/flv\/file.aspx?ID=7025624&amp;type=mp3\">All across\u00a0the land, people were smiling and laughing. World War II had just ended and America suddenly found itself to\u00a0be the manufacturing capital of\u00a0the world. There were plenty of\u00a0jobs for\u00a0the average man and the future was bright, even if you didn&#8217;t have a college degree. In fact, not many people had a degree, and yet, for\u00a0those that didn\u2019t, they were still able to\u00a0buy a car, a house, take several weeks of\u00a0vacation a year and still be able to\u00a0have food on\u00a0the table. Although this was the new normal at\u00a0the time, today\u2019s new normal is something quite different.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"b-article__text\">\n<p>In America today, there are close to\u00a050 million people living in\u00a0poverty and there are more than\u00a0100 million people that get money from\u00a0the federal government every month. As the middle class continues to\u00a0disintegrate, poverty is climbing to\u00a0unprecedented levels. Even though the stock market has been setting record high after\u00a0record high, the amount of\u00a0anger and frustration boiling just under\u00a0the surface in\u00a0our nation grows with\u00a0each passing day.<\/p>\n<p>As an example of\u00a0just how bad off\u00a0joe-sixpack is these days, the WSJ notes that\u00a0\u2014 \u201cOnly 38% said they could cover a $500 repair bill or a $1,000 emergency room visit with\u00a0funds from\u00a0their bank accounts.\u201d A person quoted in\u00a0that article said\u00a0\u2014 \u201cA solid majority of\u00a0Americans say they have a household budget, but\u00a0too few have the ability to\u00a0cover expenses outside\u00a0their budget without\u00a0going into\u00a0debt or turning to\u00a0family and friends for\u00a0help.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><span class=\"Apple-style-span\">Read more:\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/sputniknews.com\/radio_connecting_the_pieces\/20150626\/1023889810.html#ixzz3eY7opQLD\">http:\/\/sputniknews.com\/radio_connecting_the_pieces\/20150626\/1023889810.html#ixzz3eY7opQLD<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Are\u00a0the\u00a0American\u00a0Youth\u00a0Ready\u00a0for\u00a0Conscription?
