{"id":9267,"date":"2015-06-20T07:06:56","date_gmt":"2015-06-20T12:06:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/olduvai.ca\/?p=9267"},"modified":"2015-06-20T07:06:56","modified_gmt":"2015-06-20T12:06:56","slug":"gold-the-war-on-cash-and-greece-a-podcast-with-claudio-grass","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/olduvai.ca\/?p=9267","title":{"rendered":"Gold, the War on Cash and Greece \u2013 a Podcast with Claudio Grass"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3 class=\"art-postheader\"><a title=\"Permanent Link to Gold, the War on Cash and Greece \u2013 a Podcast with Claudio Grass\" href=\"http:\/\/www.acting-man.com\/?p=38055\" rel=\"bookmark\">Gold, the War on Cash and Greece \u2013 a Podcast with Claudio Grass<\/a><\/h3>\n<p><strong>Claudio Shares his Ideas<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We were quite busy lately and are therefore actually a bit late in posting this podcast, in which our good friend Claudio Grass of Global Gold is interviewed by\u00a0<em>The Daily Coin<\/em>\u00a0on the recent hot topics of Greece, the declaration of war against cash and how gold fits into all of this.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-38056\" src=\"http:\/\/www.acting-man.com\/blog\/media\/2015\/06\/3263efd.jpg\" alt=\"3263efd\" width=\"400\" height=\"400\" \/>Claudio Grass, CEO of Global Gold<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, it is always refreshing to hear Claudio\u2019s viewpoints, and although there is currently always the potential of events overtaking one\u2019s guesses\/predictions in connection with Greece, Claudio does offer an interesting perspective here. One of the problems Greece has (which at the same time, is the only trump card of the creditors, since they can switch off ELA anytime) is deposit flight. People are taking their money out of Greek banks in droves,\u00a0<em>inter alia<\/em>\u00a0hoarding cash. As Claudio avers, similar to Cyprus, Greece could end up becoming a test bed for unsavory policies in the attempt to bring it to heel.<\/p>\n<p>The people interviewing Claudio are trying to direct the conversation toward a discussion of alleged gold price manipulation at the beginning, but Claudio politely sidesteps the issue. We\u2019re just mentioning this because we want you to know that in spite of the impression one might get at the beginning, this topic isn\u2019t what the podcast is about.<\/p>\n<p>As far as we are concerned, we do have some sympathy regarding the idea that governments and central bankers don\u2019t really want to see the gold price going bananas, given that it would deliver an unwanted verdict on their fiat money Ponzi. That seems obvious enough.
