More recently,\u00a0 the Harvard Business School has also\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.hbs.edu\/competitiveness\/research\/Pages\/research-details.aspx?rid=68\" target=\"_blank\">joined in the discussion<\/a>\u00a0calling for the end of the ban on exporting\u00a0<span class=\"caps\">U.S.<\/span>\u00a0crude oil and warning about the implications of missing the \u201copportunity\u201d offered by\u00a0fracking.<\/p>\n<p>So with all of this momentum, what does ExxonMobil\u00a0<span class=\"caps\">CEO<\/span>\u00a0Rex Tillerson think should be next? Less regulation. As previously\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.desmogblog.com\/2015\/05\/19\/super-bowl-energy-industry-fixates-expanded-fracking-and-lifting-oil-export-ban\" target=\"_blank\">mentioned on DeSmog<\/a>, at this year\u2019s\u00a0<span class=\"caps\">CERA<\/span>week conference Tillerson complained that the industry was overly regulated and held back by \u201cthe\u00a0noise.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"dquo\">\u201c<\/span>Regulators must look at facts and they must look at sound science and not just respond to the noise,\u201d Tillerson\u00a0said.<\/p>\n<p>As Tillerson and the industry get set to roll out the fracking revolution to every possible shale location in North America and the rest of the world, now is a good time to review what the inventor of modern fracking had to say on the subject of regulating his\u00a0invention.<\/p>\n<h3>Fracking Inventor Warned of\u00a0Trouble<\/h3>\n<p>George Mitchell became a billionaire due to fracking but even that amount of money didn\u2019t keep him from speaking the truth about his invention.
