West Coast of North America to be Slammed by 2016 with 80% As Much Fukushima Radiation As Japan<\/a><\/h3>\n

A professor from Japan\u2019s Fukushima University Institute of Environmental Radioactivity (Michio Aoyama) told Kyodo in April that the West Coast of North America will be hit with around\u00a0800 terabecquerels of Cesium- 137 by 2016<\/a>.<\/p>\n

EneNews notes that this is\u00a080%<\/a>\u00a0of the cesium-137 deposited in Japan by Fukushima,\u00a0according to<\/a>\u00a0the company which runs Fukushima, Tepco:<\/p>\n

This is not news for those who have been paying attention.\u00a0 For example, we\u00a0noted<\/a>\u00a02 days after the 2011 Japanese earthquake and tsunami that the West Coast of North America could be slammed with radiation from Fukushima.<\/p>\n

We pointed out the next year that a previously-secret 1955 U.S. government report concluded that the ocean may not adequately dilute radiation from nuclear accidents, and there could be\u00a0\u201cpockets\u201d and \u201cstreams\u201d of highly-concentrated radiation<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The same year, we noted that\u00a015 out of 15<\/a>\u00a0bluefin tuna tested in California waters were contaminated with Fukushima radiation.<\/p>\n

In 2013, we warned that the West Coast of North America would be\u00a0hit hard<\/a>\u00a0by Fukushima radiation.<\/p>\n

And we\u2019ve noted for years that there is\u00a0no real testing<\/a>\u00a0of Fukushima radiation by any government agency.<\/p>\n

Indeed, scientists say that the amount of the West Coast of North America could end up\u00a0exceeding<\/em>\u00a0that off the Japanese coast<\/a>.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s the worst case scenario? That the\u00a0mass<\/a>\u00a0die-off<\/a>\u00a0of\u00a0sealife<\/a>\u00a0off the West Coast of North America \u2013 which may have started\u00a0only a couple of months after<\/a>\u00a0the Fukushima melt-down \u2013 is being caused by radiation from Fukushima.<\/p>\n
