closest allies<\/a>\u00a0have been busted supporting ISIS in order to topple Syria\u2019s government.\u00a0 Mainstream U.S. writers are\u00a0<a title=\"calling for open support\" href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonsblog.com\/2015\/03\/mainstream-media-calls-supporting-al-qaeda-isis.html\">calling for open support<\/a>\u00a0of ISIS and Al Qaeda to enact regime change in Syria.<\/p>\n<p>And a newly-declassified government document hints that the West\u00a0<a title=\"supported the creation of ISIS\" href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonsblog.com\/2015\/05\/newly-declassified-u-s-government-documents-the-west-supported-the-creation-of-isis.html\">supported the creation of ISIS<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>This may sound far-fectched and wild-eyed\u00a0 \u2026 But the following former\u00a0<a title=\"high-level US and UK intelligence officials and whistleblowers confirm\" href=\"https:\/\/medium.com\/insurge-intelligence\/ex-intel-officials-pentagon-report-proves-us-complicity-in-isis-fabef96e20da\" target=\"_blank\">high-level US and UK intelligence officials and whistleblowers confirm<\/a>\u00a0that the document implicates the West in the birth of ISIS:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Military analyst \u2013 and famed Pentagon Papers whistleblower \u2013 Daniel Ellsberg<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>High-level NSA official Thomas Drake<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Well-known FBI whistleblower Colleen Rowley<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Senior MI6 officer Alastair Crooke<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>MI5 counter-terrorism officer Annie Machon<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>British counter-terrorism officer Charles Shoebridge<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In any event, whether or not you believe the West created ISIS, the U.S. is now trying to blame the<em>single most unlikely<\/em>\u00a0entity imaginable for ISIS \u2026 the Syrian\u00a0<em>government<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Specifically,\u00a0 the U.S. Embassy in Syria just accused the Syrian government of supporting ISIS:<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<div class=\"Tweet-header u-cf\">\n<div class=\"PrettyLink-value\">ISIL<\/span><\/a>&#8216;s advance on <a class=\"PrettyLink hashtag customisable\" dir=\"ltr\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Aleppo?src=hash\" rel=\"tag\" data-query-source=\"hashtag_click\" data-scribe=\"element:hashtag\"><span class=\"PrettyLink-prefix\">#<\/span><span class=\"PrettyLink-value\">Aleppo<\/span><\/a>, aiding extremists against Syrian population<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>This is all kinds of silly \u2026 and is Iraq War propaganda redux.<\/p>\n<p>Specifically, the Syrian government and ISIS are\u00a0<a title=\"mortal\" href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonsblog.com\/2015\/01\/islamic-state-tripled-territory-syria-u-s-started-airstrikes.html\">mortal<\/a>\u00a0<a title=\"enemies\" href=\"http:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/world\/2015\/may\/21\/isis-palmyra-syria-islamic-state\" target=\"_blank\">enemies<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Syrian government \u2013 which is\u00a0<a title=\"allied with Shia Muslims \u2013 has been battling Sunni jihadis\" href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonsblog.com\/2013\/05\/our-al-qaeda-terrorists-are-getting-beat-up-by-their-hezbollah-terrorists.html\">allied with\u00a0<em>Shia<\/em>\u00a0Muslims \u2013 has been battling\u00a0<em>Sunni<\/em>\u00a0jihadis<\/a>\u00a0for many years.
