Therefore, it concludes, the wind farms will need to be backed up by powerful conventional generators.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"color: #393939; font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 20px;\"><\/span><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"color: #393939; font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 20px;\">In the study, the ASI constructed mathematical models of the likely output from a planned 10-gigawatt fleet of wind farms.
