Whatever happens with the nuclear negotiations this summer, and as much as Tehran wants cooperation and not confrontation, Iran is bound to remain \u2014 alongside Russia \u2014 a key US geostrategic target.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

As much as\u00a0US President Barack Obama tried to\u00a0dismiss it, the Russian sale of\u00a0the S-300 missile system to\u00a0Iran is a monumental game-changer. Even with\u00a0the added gambit of\u00a0the Iranian military assuring the made in\u00a0Iran Bavar 373 may be even more efficient than\u00a0the S-300.<\/p>\n

This explains why Jane’s Defense Weekly was already saying years ago that Israel could not penetrate Iranian airspace even if it managed to\u00a0get there. And after\u00a0the S-300s Iran inevitably will be offered the even more sophisticated S-400s, which are to\u00a0be delivered to\u00a0China as\u00a0well.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The unspoken secret behind\u00a0these game-changing proceedings actually terrifies Washington warmongers; it spells out\u00a0a further frontline of\u00a0Eurasian integration, in\u00a0the form of\u00a0an evolving Eurasian missile shield deployed against\u00a0Pentagon\/NATO ballistic plans.<\/span><\/p>\n

A precious glimpse of\u00a0what’s ahead was offered at\u00a0the\u00a0Moscow Conference on\u00a0International Security<\/a>\u00a0(MICS) in\u00a0mid-April.<\/p>\n

Here we had\u00a0the Iranian Defense Minister, Brigadier-General Hussein Dehghan, openly stating that Iran wanted BRICS members China, India, and Russia to\u00a0jointly oppose NATO’s uncontrolled eastward expansion, and characterizing NATO’s for\u00a0all practical purposes\u00a0offensive<\/em>\u00a0missile shield as\u00a0a threat to\u00a0their collective security.<\/p>\n

We also had Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu and Chinese Defense Minister Chang Wanquan emphasizing their military ties are an “overriding priority”; plus Tehran and Moscow stressing they’re strategically in\u00a0synch in\u00a0their push towards\u00a0a new multipolar order.<\/p>\n
