The increase has been linked to industrial operations that dispose of wastewater by injecting it into deep wells,\u201d\u00a0the report says bluntly, in a rebuke to the earthquake deniers in the oil and gas industry, such as fracking founder Harold Hamm, who\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/ecowatch.com\/2015\/04\/01\/harold-hamm-oklahoma-fracking-earthquakes\/\">pressured Oklahoma officials<\/a>\u00a0to stay silent about the connection.<\/p>\n<p>While\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/ecowatch.com\/2015\/04\/23\/oklahoma-earthquakes-caused-by-fracking\/\">Oklahoma<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/ecowatch.com\/2015\/01\/28\/earthquakes-texas-town-is-fracking-to-blame\/\">Texas<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/ecowatch.com\/2015\/01\/06\/fracking-cause-ohio-earthquake\/\">Ohio<\/a>\u00a0have gotten much of the attention for increases in seismicity in areas where earthquakes were once rare, they aren\u2019t the only states in danger of more and larger earthquakes.
