She has led Russia&#8217;s tiny Baltic neighbor into a firm hawkish anti-Moscow position. The country was part of the wave of eastern European nations to join NATO in the mid-2000s during the Bush era.<\/p>\n<p><strong>She&#8217;s calling for the breakup of the Russian Federation<\/strong>.\u00a0Kallas proposed during a debate in the country&#8217;s capital of Tallinn last week that\u00a0<strong>Russia could become much &#8220;smaller&#8221;<\/strong>\u00a0as a desired outcome of the Ukraine war.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.zerohedge.com\/s3\/files\/inline-images\/estonianpm.jpg?itok=nQg06b0E\" data-image-external-href=\"\" data-image-href=\"\/s3\/files\/inline-images\/estonianpm.jpg?itok=nQg06b0E\" data-link-option=\"0\"><picture><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"inline-images image-style-inline-images\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.zerohedge.com\/s3fs-public\/inline-images\/estonianpm.jpg?itok=nQg06b0E\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"334\" data-entity-type=\"file\" data-entity-uuid=\"90edc931-0f89-48b1-b265-ba1a599b307d\" data-responsive-image-style=\"inline_images\" \/><\/picture><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<strong>Russia\u2019s defeat is not a bad thing<\/strong>\u00a0because then you know there could really be a change in society,&#8221;\u00a0the prime minister told the 17th Lennart Meri Conference, as translated in Russia&#8217;s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rt.com\/russia\/597979-estonia-ukraine-nato-eu\/\">RT<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>She said that currently the Russian Federation can actually be seen as making up\u00a0<strong>&#8220;many different nations&#8221;<\/strong>\u00a0and that they could be naturally broken into separate states.<\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8220;I think if you would have more like small nations&#8230; it is not a bad thing if the big power is actually [made] much smaller,&#8221;<\/strong>\u00a0Kallas asserted.<\/p>\n<p>Despite its small size Estonia has been outspoken over the last several months related to the war.
