Medical Elites\u2019 Disgrace Over Ivermectin<\/a><\/h3>\n

“We know there is an important (but untransparent) list of who is responsible for misrepresenting published data, but will anyone be held accountable?”<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

In the wake of the FDA settling a lawsuit brought against it for wantonly and aggressively smearing ivermectin, the agency has deleted its postings. That\u2019s good, but we shouldn\u2019t forget how egregiously it mischaracterized the drug, ignored copious evidence in its favor, and portrayed its proponents as dangerous crackpots.<\/p>\n

About 30 months ago, America\u2019s FDA was publishing articles with headlines like this:\u00a0\u201cShould I take ivermectin to treat COVID?\u201d Answer: No.<\/a>\u00a0The agency also told Americans\u00a0not to use<\/a>\u00a0ivermectin to prevent Covid. Then, in what became known as its infamous \u201chorse tweet<\/a>,\u201d the FDA even patronizingly told Americans: \u201cSeriously, y\u2019all. stop it.<\/a>\u201d<\/p>\n

Prescribers who advocated for alternate treatments like ivermectin or hydroxychloroquine were\u00a0mocked<\/a>\u00a0online by America\u2019s \u201ctrusted journalists\u201d as being part of a \u201cright-wing conspiracy\u201d and labeled \u201chucksters<\/a>.\u201d Those who didn\u2019t demure to the Covid mRNA or other Big Pharma treatment narratives were banned, fired, and spoken harshly about around the world and into the reaches of the stratosphere in what seemed like coordinated messaging.<\/p>\n

Many clinicians lost their\u00a0jobs<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 at best. At worst, their reputations, practices, finances, and careers were shattered. If that was not bad enough, after losing their jobs, state\u00a0medical<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0pharmacy boards<\/a>\u00a0initiated legal proceedings against their licensure, singling out their \u201coff-label\u201d Covid treatments, despite other off-label treatments being a near-ubiquitous component of pharmacy and medical practice.<\/p>\n

Within days of FDA\u2019s initial postings above, the\u00a0American Pharmacist\u2019s Association<\/a>\u00a0(APhA) the\u00a0American Society of Health System Pharmacists<\/a>\u00a0(ASHP), and the\u00a0American Medical Association<\/a>\u00a0(AMA) all collaborated to release a\u00a0joint press release<\/a>\u00a0condemning doctors\u00a0<\/em>who prescribed ivermectin to treat Covid, but it appears that these organizations…<\/p>\n
