We must act decisively in support and in solidarity with Julian Assange.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

In this regard, we must\u00a0understand the history:\u00a0On how Assange was betrayed and misled by those who allegedly supported him.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>In October 2021, the U.S. government began a legal challenge to extradite\u00a0Julian Assange from the U.K.\u00a0\u201cto face charges of violating the Espionage Act\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The U.K. \u00a0Supreme Court turned down Assange\u2019s appeal to \u201cprevent his extradition to the United States\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n

On April 20, 2022, a U.K magistrates court formally approved\u00a0the extradition of\u00a0Julian Assange<\/strong>\u00a0to the US \u201con espionage charges\u201d.<\/p>\n

According to\u00a0Paul C. Roberts:<\/a><\/p>\n

The most extraordinary thing about Julian Assange is that he is being treated as if he were an American citizen. \u201cTreason\u201d was the original cry, now converted to \u201cespionage.\u201d<\/p>\n
