It has to be done.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"my-5\">On Jan. 23, Federal Court Justice Richard Mosley issued a <a class=\"health-article-hover-class\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/world\/invocation-of-emergencies-act-in-response-to-freedom-convoy-was-unreasonable-unjustified-court-ruling-5572115\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ruling<\/a> against the federal government\u2019s invocation of the Emergencies Act in response to the protests and blockades that gridlocked Canada\u2019s capital Ottawa for weeks.<\/div>\n<p>The government\u2019s use of the act did \u201cnot bear the hallmarks of reasonableness\u2014justification, transparency and intelligibility\u2014and was not justified in relation to the relevant factual and legal constraints that were required to be taken into consideration,\u201d Justice Mosley wrote in his ruling.<\/p>\n<div class=\"my-5\">Police veteran and plaintiff Vincent Gircys, whose bank account was <a class=\"health-article-hover-class\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/world\/canada-regulating-crowdfunding-platforms-cryptocurrencies-under-the-terrorist-financing-act-4278586\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">frozen<\/a> for more than a week under the Emergencies Act, said that while he was initially \u201cvery disappointed with our justice system\u2014having worked in there for 32 years\u201d\u2014he\u2019s pleased to see that \u201csome level of justice is being restored.\u201d<\/div>\n<p>Alberta contractor Jeremiah Jost, who, alongside his wife, drove to Ottawa as part of the convoy, said he was \u201cincredibly encouraged by Justice Mosley\u2019s ruling and his courage to put his neck out.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The ruling has likely given hope to Canadians who are upset with the country\u2019s justice system, he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u2026click on the above link to read the rest\u2026<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After Court Victory for Freedom Convoy, Canadians Ready to Sue Following a federal court ruling against the Canadian government for using the Emergencies Act during the trucker convoy, several plaintiffs plan to sue.
