{"id":65139,"date":"2023-03-08T07:52:10","date_gmt":"2023-03-08T12:52:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/olduvai.ca\/?p=65139"},"modified":"2023-03-08T07:52:10","modified_gmt":"2023-03-08T12:52:10","slug":"what-if-there-are-no-solutions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/olduvai.ca\/?p=65139","title":{"rendered":"What If There Are No Solutions?"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3 class=\"post-title\"><a href=\"https:\/\/charleshughsmith.blogspot.com\/2023\/03\/what-if-there-are-no-solutions.html\">What If There Are No Solutions?<\/a><\/h3>\n<div id=\"post-7922639741265708676\" class=\"post-body\">\n<p><i>The unencumbered realist concludes that there are no solutions within a status quo structure that is itself the problem.<\/i><\/p>\n<p><b>Realists who question received wisdom and conclude the status quo is untenable are quickly labeled\u00a0<i>pessimists<\/i>\u00a0because the zeitgeist expects a solution is always at hand<\/b>&#8211;preferably a technocratic one that requires zero sacrifice and doesn&#8217;t upset the status quo apple cart.<\/p>\n<p><b>Realists ask &#8220;what if&#8221; without selecting the &#8220;solution&#8221; first.<\/b>\u00a0The conventional approach is to select the &#8220;answer\/solution&#8221; first and then design the question and cherry-pick the evidence to support the pre-selected &#8220;solution.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><b>What if all the status quo &#8220;solutions&#8221; don&#8217;t actually address the real problems?<\/b>\u00a0This line of inquiry is strictly verboten, for there\u00a0<i>must be a solution that solves everything in one fell swoop<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p>Examples of this approach abound: a\u00a0<i>one-size fits all<\/i>\u00a0solution that resolves all the systemic problems by itself. All we have to do is implement it.<\/p>\n<p><b>Replacing fiat currencies is one example that I have explored:<\/b><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.oftwominds.com\/blogjan23\/sound-money1-23.html\" target=\"resource\" rel=\"noopener\">You Want Truly &#8220;Sound Money&#8221;?
