Maybe you aren\u2019t really interested in emergency preparedness but your well-meaning in-laws keep sending you links to websites about the topic. \u00a0Maybe you go to those websites and you see so much doom and gloom that you immediately exit. Maybe you say to yourself, \u201cHoly cow, no! \u00a0I\u2019m not one of those crazy Doomsday Preppers!\u201d \u00a0(Maybe you\u2019re the in-law sending the articles!)<\/p>\n<p>If any of the above apply, then this post is for you. \u00a0It\u2019s chock-full of links, supplies, resources, and information for those who are new to preparedness that may not be ready to dive in 100% just yet.<\/p>\n<h2>Prepping for Beginners (and Non-Preppers Who Like to be Sensible)<\/h2>\n<p>It\u2019s all about what I like to call \u201cprepping-lite\u201d. \u00a0It\u2019s for people who aren\u2019t into apocalypse scenarios but who are sensible enough to realize that, well, stuff happens. Remember, prepping doesn\u2019t mean you\u2019re a doom-and-gloomer. It\u2019s actually\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.theorganicprepper.ca\/forget-doom-and-gloom-preparedness-is-the-ultimate-act-of-optimism-03222014\" target=\"_blank\">the ultimate act of optimism<\/a>!<\/p>\n<p>There are three types of emergencies that can strike nearly anyone. \u00a0These don\u2019t require that you systematically pick apart every episode of\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/s\/?_encoding=UTF8&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=390957&amp;field-keywords=the%20walking%20dead&amp;linkCode=ur2&amp;tag=start033-20&amp;url=search-alias%3Daps&amp;linkId=AROGMMNAVECRJVW3\" target=\"_blank\">The Walking Dead so you can figure out how to survive the impending zombie pandemic<\/a><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ir-na.amazon-adsystem.com\/e\/ir?t=start033-20&amp;l=ur2&amp;o=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" border=\"0\" \/>.
