Reducing the speed limit<\/a>\u00a0on motorways and\u00a0banning Sunday driving<\/a>\u00a0are ideas suggested to cut Britain\u2019s reliance on oil.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0International Energy Agency<\/a>\u00a0has proposed a ten-point plan to reduce global demand by 2.7 million barrels a day.<\/p>\n

Included in the plan is a\u00a0ban on driving cars in cities every Sunday<\/a>, as well as a suggestion to\u00a0cut speed limits on motorways by 6mph<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Also included in the plan is working from home three days a week, and using high-speed night trains instead of planes where possible.<\/p>\n
