**Pest of the week.<\/p>\n

So, I was in the garden and decided it was time to start inspecting the \u201cunderside\u201d of the plant leaves.\u00a0 I\u2019m not always good about it because there are just SOOOOO many leaves and it\u2019s tiresome to look under them all.\u00a0 But at the bottom of the cucumbers, I found this on the backside of a leaf:<\/p>\n

\"\"It was totally invisible from the top.<\/p>\n

Not EXACTLY sure what they are, but they don\u2019t belong there and I think they are aphids.\u00a0 I sprayed them with safer soap.\u00a0 It seemed to do the trick.<\/p>\n

I also found them on this new baby cuke:<\/p>\n

I sprayed those too.\u00a0 I found a few leaves with leaf miner damage and pulled those off.\u00a0 As the weather gets warmer, the life cycle of the bugs speeds up.\u00a0 You have to be a good detective!\u00a0 Spray, spray, spray.\u00a0 Do NOT let it go.<\/p>\n
