\u201cA Magnet for Conspiracy Theories\u201d: Wikipedia Kills Entry for Hunter Biden\u2019s Investment Company<\/a><\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/header>\n

Wikipedia editors are\u00a0under fire<\/a>\u00a0this week for removing the entry for\u00a0Rosemont Seneca Partners,<\/a>\u00a0the investment company connected to Hunter Biden and his alleged multimillion dollar influence peddling schemes. The site bizarrely claimed that the company was \u201cnot notable.\u201d The timing itself is notable given the\u00a0new disclosure<\/a>\u00a0that Hunter Biden\u2019s business partner, Eric Schwerin, made at least 19 visits to the White House and other official locations between 2009 and 2015. That included a meeting with then-Vice President Joe Biden despite\u00a0Biden\u2019s repeated claim<\/a>\u00a0that he knew nothing about his son\u2019s business dealings. Schwerin was the president of Rosemont Seneca.<\/span><\/p>\n

Wikipedia has been accused of raw bias in removing the entry at a time when interest in the company is at its peak, including the\u00a0possibility of an indictment<\/a>\u00a0of Hunter Biden over his financial dealings.\u00a0 Rosemont Seneca is one of the most searched terms for those trying to understand the background on the Biden business operations.<\/p>\n

Yet, an editor \u201cAlexEng\u201d\u00a0wrote that the company was simply \u201cnot notable\u201d \u2014 an absurd claim reminiscent of the recent claim by Atlantic Magazine\u2019s writer Anne Applebaum that she did not cover the scandal because it\u00a0simply was \u201cnot interesting.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n

Alex wrote: \u201cThis organization is only mentioned in connection with its famous founders, Hunter Biden and Christopher Heinz.\u201d That itself is an odd statement. It is mentioned as one of the key conduits of alleged influence peddling money. Alex added that \u201ckeeping it around\u201d ran the risk of the page becoming \u201ca magnet for conspiracy theories about Hunter Biden.\u201d It is that last comment that I found most concerning as part of this decision.<\/p>\n
