Doomsday \u2018Preppers\u2019 Warn of Hard Times Ahead As Preparedness Goes Mainstream<\/a><\/h3>\n<\/div>\n
Food scarcity. Food vouchers. Food riots and flash mobs.<\/div>\n

All of that\u2019s coming\u2014and soon, says Texas-based food scientist and \u201cHealth Ranger\u201d podcaster Mike Adams, who sees dire events unfolding in America in the short term.<\/p>\n

His advice: people need to get prepared now.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe thing to really watch for is the food inflation,\u201d Adams said.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy position is we\u2019re going to see food riots in America before the end of this year. We\u2019re going to see flash mobs in grocery stores\u2014especially for meat products.<\/p>\n

\u201cGrocery stores are going to respond with increased security and checkpoints. At some point, we\u2019re probably going to see an attempt at price controls and rationing.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAnd not on everything\u2014certain types of things. It\u2019s almost certain that the rationing they will attempt to enforce with a vaccine passport app that becomes a food rationing app,\u201d Adams told The Epoch Times.<\/p>\n

Adams is not alone in his predictions of hard times coming to America\u2014and the world.<\/p>\n

With food production buckling under the weight of runaway inflation, skyrocketing fuel costs, and\u00a0fertilizer<\/a>\u00a0shortages, much of what\u2019s in store is already \u201cbuilt-in.\u201d<\/p>\n

Unfertile Ground<\/h2>\n

In North America two years ago, it cost around $200 an acre to fertilize a 1,000-acre commercial farm, Adams said. Right now, with spring planting, farmers can expect to pay $1,200 to $2,000 an acre.<\/p>\n

And consumers will pay for it in higher prices for basic necessities.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cMany farmers are deciding not to plant. In addition, the diesel fuel prices and diesel fuel scarcity is going into their equation whether they should plant,\u201d Adams said.<\/p>\n
