With Russia\u2019s invasion hitting economies and the supply chain harder, yet another series of price increases is on the horizon.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe second wave of price increases is coming, and it will certainly be in double figures,\u201d Sanktjohanser warned, cited by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.thelocal.de\/20220401\/german-consumers-to-be-hit-by-further-price-hikes-in-supermarkets\/\">The Local<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>According to the president of the trade association, the first retail chains have already started to raise their prices in Germany \u2013 and the rest are likely to follow.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cWe will soon be able to see the impact of the war reflected in price labels across all the supermarkets,\u201d\u00a0<\/strong>said Sanktjohanser.<\/p>\n<p>Recently, popular retail chains such as Aldi, Edeka and Globus announced that they would be forced to raise their prices.
