*\u00a0 And\u2026\u2026.just like that\u2026\u2026.it\u2019s cold.\u00a0 Okay, it\u2019s not Indiana cold, just California cold.\u00a0 Even though we\u2019ve had frost on the lawn, my tomatoes have not died yet.\u00a0 I have maybe 2 dozen green tomatoes and I\u2019m just hoping they will ripen (at least blush so I can bring them inside).\u00a0 I got ONE zucchini, and ONE yellow squash, so we are having them for dinner in a recipe I made up.\u00a0 I call it Andrew-ala-Toni because it was my son\u2019s favorite dish when he was little.\u00a0 The recipe is below.<\/p>\n

*\u00a0 My peaches that I canned back in 2016 are looking sad.\u00a0 But I didn\u2019t want to just throw them away.\u00a0 So into the blender, they went (after I drained most of the water).\u00a0 I didn\u2019t need to add any sweetener because I used a medium syrup when I canned them.\u00a0 I blended them up, spread them on sheets for the dehydrator, and in they went.\u00a0 This is my second batch.\u00a0 The fruit leather from the first batch is really good!!!\u00a0 I\u2019m including it in all my Christmas boxes for my kids.\u00a0 What child doesn\u2019t like fruit leather?\u00a0 Now the jars are freed up for other things.<\/p>\n

*\u00a0 I want to share that I finally made a successful batch of almond Roca!\u00a0 I\u2019ve tried several times and could never get it right.\u00a0 This year, I found the winning recipe (see below).\u00a0 I\u2019ve made three batches so far.\u00a0 Chocolate chips are on sale at Winco for less than $2<\/p>\n

*\u00a0 My lettuce is flourishing!\u00a0 In fact, it\u2019s time for me to pull out the lettuce that is bolting and plant 2 new tubs.\u00a0 It takes 4-5 weeks before you can harvest the lettuce.<\/p>\n
