Such is certainly a question worth asking as we look back at the Fed\u2019s history of previous monetary actions. Such was a topic I discussed in\u00a0<strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/realinvestmentadvice.com\/the-fomo-rises-as-investors-push-risk-bets-11-19-21\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u201cInvestors Push Risk Bets.\u201d<\/a><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0To wit:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-style-default\"><p><em><strong>\u201cW<\/strong>ith the entirety of the financial ecosystem more heavily levered than ever, the\u00a0<strong>\u201cinstability of stability\u201d\u00a0<\/strong>is the most significant risk.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The\u00a0\u2018<strong>stability\/instability paradox\u2019<\/strong>\u00a0assumes all players are rational and implies avoidance of destruction.\u00a0<strong>In other words, all players will act rationally, and no one will push\u00a0\u2018the big red button.\u2019<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The Fed is highly dependent on this assumption.
