SHORTAGES & HYPERINFLATION LEAD TO TOTAL MISERY<\/a><\/h3>\n<\/header>\n

At the end of major economic cycles, shortages develop in all areas of the economy. And this is what the world is experiencing today on a global basis. There is a general lack of labour, whether it is restaurant staff, truck drivers or medical personnel.<\/p>\n

There are also shortages of raw materials, lithium (electric car batteries), semi-conductors, food,\u00a0 a great deal of consumer products, cardboard boxes,\u00a0energy<\/a>\u00a0and etc, etc. The list is endless.<\/p>\n

SHORTAGES EVERYWHERE<\/strong><\/p>\n

Everything is of course blamed on Covid but most of these shortages are due to structural problems. We have today a global system which cannot cope with the tiniest imbalances in the supply chain.<\/p>\n

Just one small component missing could change history as the nursery rhyme below explains:<\/p>\n

For want of a nail, the shoe was lost.
\nFor want of a shoe, the horse was lost.
\nFor want of a horse, the rider was lost.
\nFor want of a rider, the battle was lost.
\nFor want of a battle, the kingdom was lost.
\nAnd all for the want of a\u00a0<\/em>horseshoe nail<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The world is not just vulnerable to shortages of goods and services.<\/p>\n

BOMBSHELLS<\/strong><\/p>\n

Bombshells could appear from anywhere. Let\u2019s just list a few like:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • Dollar collapse (and other currencies)<\/strong><\/li>\n
  • Stock market crash<\/strong><\/li>\n
  • Debt defaults, bond collapse (e.g. Evergrande)<\/strong><\/li>\n
  • Liquidity crisis\u00a0 (if\u00a0 money printing stops or has no effect)<\/strong><\/li>\n
  • Inflation leading to hyperinflation<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    There is a high likelihood that not just one of the above will happen in the next few years but all of them.<\/p>\n

    Because this is how empires and economic bubbles end.<\/strong><\/p>\n

    The Roman Empire needed 500,000 troops to control its vast empire.<\/p>\n
