In reality Chinese planes simply entered an\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/cusfIi94jXs\">arbitrarily designated area<\/a>\u00a0hundreds of miles from Taiwan\u2019s coast it calls its \u201cAir Defence Identification Zone\u201d, which has\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/johnmenadue.com\/did-china-violate-taiwans-airspace-its-not-that-simple\/\">no legally recognized existence<\/a>\u00a0and contains a significant portion of China\u2019s mainland.
