It is based on the marketing of goods psychologically-rendered in short supply by fast fashion, planned obsolescence, and brand identification.<\/p>\n<p>Someone who foresaw this change, and its implication for radical movements, was\u00a0<a class=\"os\" title=\"goto Wikipedia: \u2018Murray Bookchin\u2019 (opens in a new window)\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Murray_Bookchin\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Murray Bookchin<\/a>. Bookchin foresaw how consumerism was changing the dialogue in society towards a politics of\u00a0<a class=\"os\" title=\"goto Wikipedia: \u2018Post-scarcity economy\u2019 (opens in a new window)\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Post-scarcity_economy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>\u2018post-scarcity\u2019<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"os\" title=\"goto Wikipedia: \u2018Post-Scarcity Anarchism\u2019 (opens in a new window)\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Post-Scarcity_Anarchism\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em class=\"quote\">\u2018Post-Scarcity Anarchism\u2019<\/em><\/a>\u00a0is an anthology of Bookchin\u2019s essays. What if The Internet stopped working; or deliberately blocked Bookchin\u2019s works as \u2018subversive\u2019?
