Prime Minister Boris Johnson requested the Army to begin fuel deliveries\u00a0to petrol stations.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.zerohedge.com\/s3\/files\/inline-images\/army%20fuel.png?itok=GzlK5tsh\" data-image-external-href=\"\" data-image-href=\"\/s3\/files\/inline-images\/army%20fuel.png?itok=GzlK5tsh\" data-link-option=\"0\"><picture><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"inline-images image-style-inline-images\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.zerohedge.com\/s3fs-public\/styles\/inline_image_mobile\/public\/inline-images\/army%20fuel.png?itok=GzlK5tsh\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"329\" data-entity-type=\"file\" data-entity-uuid=\"23830ef8-06d0-466e-8b58-bb087c075e6c\" data-responsive-image-style=\"inline_images\" \/><\/picture><\/a><\/p>\n<p>According to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/world\/uk\/uk-gas-stations-are-running-dry-english-cities-retailers-association-says-2021-09-27\/\">Reuters<\/a>, 90% of petrol stations could run dry across major metro areas on Monday after buying panic accelerated the crisis of low fuel supplies due to a shortage of truck drivers.<\/p>\n<p>The buying panic began shortly after BP plc, a multinational oil and gas company,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.zerohedge.com\/commodities\/bp-prepares-ration-gas-uk-service-stations-amid-supply-woes\">warned<\/a>\u00a0last Thursday that a shortage of truck drivers is inhibiting the oil company&#8217;s ability to transport fuel from refineries to its network of service stations. By Saturday, lines of cars\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.zerohedge.com\/commodities\/panic-hoarding-gasoline-begins-uk-plunges-towards-winter-discontent\">spilled over into the streets<\/a>\u00a0at petrol stations and continued into the new week.
