\n*\u00a0 Time to feed your garden again.\u00a0 I use a vegetable fertilizer with mycorrhizae fungi.\u00a0 I just buy it at Lowe\u2019s.\u00a0 I like Kellogg\u2019s brand, NOT this one, but similar.\u00a0\u00a0Dr. Earth Organic 5 Tomato Fertilizer<\/a>.\u00a0 In addition to the fertilizer, I give them some nitrogen (DO NOT feed the beans).\u00a0 Either compost or worm castings.\u00a0 I usually do the worm castings.\u00a0 You should be feeding at least once a month.
\n*\u00a0 If you\u2019ve kept your plants alive through the heat, they should start to produce again.\u00a0 Some things like the beets, beans, and cucumbers, I just started over.\u00a0 It\u2019s like a \u201cdo-over\u201d.
\n*\u00a0 EVERY week, as you shop, you should be thinking, \u201cIf I have to hunker down again for a month, can I do it?\u201d<\/p>\n

LONG TERM FOCUS: Milk
\n<\/strong>\"Milk<\/p>\n

There are two types of powdered milk.\u00a0 There is instant powdered milk, and non-instant.\u00a0 She mixes her milk in a blender.\u00a0 2 c. hot water + 1 heaping cup of powdered milk.\u00a0 Mix in blender.\u00a0 Pour into a milk jug, then add an additional 8 cups of water.\u00a0\u00a0Mixing Powdered Milk \u2013 YouTube<\/a><\/p>\n

Instant milk is more expensive.\u00a0 But you can just stir it into cold water with a spoon, no heavy mixing is needed.\u00a0 Also, it takes more.<\/p>\n

I have always mixed my non-instant milk in a blender.\u00a0 It creates a ton of foam on top.\u00a0 Just let it sit and it will calm down.\u00a0 Best results come from letting it sit overnight in the fridge.\u00a0 It is NOT cost efficient.\u00a0 It is cheaper to buy fresh milk.\u00a0 And you should try to rotate it, or just be prepared to buy new milk every 3-5 years.<\/p>\n
