It\u2019s a race that most humans will likely lose. It\u2019s now a question of whether the species can survive extinction.<\/p>\n<p id=\"0bf2\" class=\"hl hm fn hn b ho ja hp hq hr jb hs ht hu jc hv hw hx jd hy hz ia je ib ic ie dn gj\" data-selectable-paragraph=\"\">On one hand the survivalists (rightfull<span id=\"rmm\">y<\/span>) poo-poo plans for colonizing Mars as too difficult on a \u201cdead planet\u201d while simultaneously clinging to the belief that for all their beans and bullets, gardens and wells \u2014the hoarded supplies of a prepper will see them through the\u00a0<a class=\"dt oa\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nationalgeographic.org\/lesson\/sixth-mass-extinction\/\" rel=\"noopener\">sixth mass extinction<\/a>\u00a0on a dying Earth.
