The company has trimmed trees away from powerlines and inspected the grid as the wildfire season began earlier this month.<\/p>\n<p>June is typically the month the wildfire season in California begins. The state is already battling an\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.zerohedge.com\/weather\/fallow-land-plagues-california-farmers-hit-drought\">extreme drought<\/a>, and the first heat wave of the season hit last week. The risks of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.zerohedge.com\/weather\/next-weeks-heat-wave-bake-californians\">another heat wave<\/a>\u00a0are increasing for next week.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.zerohedge.com\/s3\/files\/inline-images\/05D4317E-2F17-4E3C-8D69-04C22BE84D76.GIF?itok=KFwdG7fg\" data-image-external-href=\"\" data-image-href=\"\/s3\/files\/inline-images\/05D4317E-2F17-4E3C-8D69-04C22BE84D76.GIF?itok=KFwdG7fg\" data-link-option=\"0\"><picture><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"inline-images image-style-inline-images\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.zerohedge.com\/s3fs-public\/styles\/inline_image_mobile\/public\/inline-images\/05D4317E-2F17-4E3C-8D69-04C22BE84D76.GIF?itok=KFwdG7fg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"300\" data-entity-type=\"file\" data-entity-uuid=\"ca6506b0-192d-4f86-b9ed-73adca83177c\" data-responsive-image-style=\"inline_images\" \/><\/picture><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The hottest and most fire-prone months are nearing as a second heat wave of the season could arrive as early as next week.<\/p>\n<p>How the season turns out may depend on the immediate climate in the state. Extreme heat and drought are several factors that may produce dry fuels and eventually spark fires.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.zerohedge.com\/s3\/files\/inline-images\/2021-06-11_11-10-42.png?itok=eW28MvGX\" data-image-external-href=\"\" data-image-href=\"\/s3\/files\/inline-images\/2021-06-11_11-10-42.png?itok=eW28MvGX\" data-link-option=\"0\"><picture><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"inline-images image-style-inline-images\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.zerohedge.com\/s3fs-public\/styles\/inline_image_mobile\/public\/inline-images\/2021-06-11_11-10-42.png?itok=eW28MvGX\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"353\" data-entity-type=\"file\" data-entity-uuid=\"f0888f47-62ba-4c0d-b199-0753351acff3\" data-responsive-image-style=\"inline_images\" \/><\/picture><\/a><\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;The fuel moisture levels &#8230; are about a month or two months ahead of schedule,&#8221; Strenfel told\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sacbee.com\/news\/california\/fires\/article252007268.html\">Sacramento Bee<\/a>. &#8220;They&#8217;re at a state where they&#8217;re typically this dry in mid-July, and we&#8217;re seeing them in June.\u00a0<strong>We&#8217;re a month ahead of schedule, if not two months, in terms of fire danger.&#8221;<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Singh told WSJ,\u00a0<em>&#8220;the big, big variable that&#8217;s unpredictable here is the wind. But in all the forecasts that we&#8217;ve done, we do not see ourselves getting back to the same kind of [power shut-off] events like we saw in 2019.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Already, Gov.
