A German version of the entire series is also available at the link below.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><span lang=\"en-US\">Early pioneers, bitter resistance, globalization<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">The first organic farming activities in Europe emerged with the \u201cLife Reform Movement\u201d after the First World War<\/span><a class=\"sdendnoteanc\" href=\"https:\/\/www.arc2020.eu\/organic-agroecological-and-regenerative-whats-the-diff-organic\/#sdendnote1sym\" name=\"sdendnote1anc\"><sup>i<\/sup><\/a><span lang=\"en-US\">, which turned against urbanisation and industrialisation. The aim was to return to a natural way of life: they wanted to settle in rural nature and establish a gardening existence there. This led to a focus on production techniques such as: \u2013 fertilisation with rotting organic waste, composting, green manure and green soil cover, gentle soil cultivation, nutrient supply through the recycling of composted urban organic waste and human waste, as well as rock powder.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">Even then, problems such as soil compaction, soil fatigue, poor seed quality and an increase in plant diseases and pest infestations led to a rethink in farming.\u00a0<\/span><u><a href=\"https:\/\/www.biodynamics.com\/steiner.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span lang=\"en-US\">Rudolf Steiner<\/span><\/a><\/u><span lang=\"en-US\">\u00a0(1861 \u2013 1925) established biodynamic farming with the \u201cagricultural course\u201d during a seminar lasting several days in 1924, which dealt with these problems. In 1928, three years after Steiner\u2019s death, the \u201cDemeter trademark\u201d was registered. Organic-biological agriculture, from which the \u201cBioland\u201d association emerged, was also developed in Switzerland by\u00a0<\/span><u><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hipp.com.sg\/about-hipp\/our-company\/history\/dr-hans-mueller\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span lang=\"en-US\">Dr. Hans M\u00fcller<\/span><\/a><\/u><span lang=\"en-US\">\u00a0(1891 \u2013 1988) and his wife\u00a0<\/span><u><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hipp.com.sg\/about-hipp\/our-company\/history\/dr-hans-mueller\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span lang=\"en-US\">Dr. Maria M\u00fcller<\/span><\/a><\/u><span lang=\"en-US\">\u00a0(1894 \u2013 1969) at the beginning of the last century.
