  • Russia is specifically blamed for something, like a hack or \u201cundermining American democracy,\u201d according to unnamed U.S. officials, or \u201cpeople familiar with the matter.\u201d<\/li>\n
  • The article then drops all attribution and refers to a \u201cRussian campaign\u201d as established fact.<\/li>\n
  • Towards the end of the piece a caveat is slipped in, such as \u201cif it is confirmed it was Russia,\u201d which undermines the credibility of the entire article.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
