But what about perception hacking?<\/a>\u201c, which opens with the line \u201cRussia and\u00a0other adversaries may not need to hack the election if they can hack something else: our minds.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/caityjohnstone.medium.com\/wapo-publishes-paranoid-screed-cautioning-readers-not-to-let-russia-make-them-paranoid-79a6547365fa\">paranoid screed<\/a>\u00a0unironically argued that Russia is using its super powerful propaganda engine to make people paranoid and doubtful of US electoral systems, which could actually have an adverse effect on the US election.
