They immediately characterize this as right-wing \u201cconservatives,\u201d which implies, I suppose, that the obedient majority are just sheep who do as they are told and question nothing.\u00a0<strong>NEVER<\/strong>\u00a0in the history of human society has the entire population ever been locked down. Those who are sick have been quarantined. This is more akin to the disgraceful imprisonment of all Japanese Americans assuming they could not be trusted based upon their ethnicity.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"fancybox image\" href=\"https:\/\/www.armstrongeconomics.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Freedom-Liberty-Lockdown.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-105935 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.armstrongeconomics.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Freedom-Liberty-Lockdown.jpg\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.armstrongeconomics.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Freedom-Liberty-Lockdown.jpg 500w, https:\/\/www.armstrongeconomics.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Freedom-Liberty-Lockdown-300x211.jpg 300w\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"352\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The exclusion order leading to the internment of Japanese Americans during World War II was held to be constitutional by the Supreme Court which is up there with Dread Scot insofar as being disgraceful decisions.\u00a0<strong>Korematsu v. United States<\/strong>, 323 U.S. 214 (1944), was a landmark the United States Supreme Court case upholding the exclusion of Japanese Americans from the West Coast Military Area during World War II. The Supreme Court had the audacity to write:<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cIt should be noted, to begin with, that all legal restrictions which curtail the civil rights of a single racial group are immediately suspect. That is not to say that all such restrictions are unconstitutional.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The Supreme Court showed that it was just supporting whatever the government desired. They wrote: \u201c<em>But hardships are part of war, and war is an aggregation of hardships.<\/em>\u201d That is no excuse.
