Trump, U.S. President, September 17, 2020<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cNow is not the time to worry about shrinking the deficit or shrinking the Fed balance sheet.\u201d<\/em>\u00a0\u2013 Steven Mnuchin, U.S. Secretary of the Treasury, September 14, 2020<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Money for the People<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The real viral contagion that has infected the American populace is not an illness of the body.\u00a0 It\u2019s something far worse than COVID-19.\u00a0 The American populace is suffering from an illness of the mind.<\/p>\n<p>The general malady, as we diagnose it, is the unwavering belief that the government has an endless supply of free money, and the expectation that everyone, except the stinking rich, has claim to it.\u00a0 Why pursue self-reliance and independence when a series of stimulus acts promises the more abundant life?\u00a0 This viral contagion\u2019s really ripped through the population in 2020.<\/p>\n<p>For example, just a year ago, the American populace thought they could all live off the forced philanthropy of their neighbors.\u00a0 That to pay Paul you had to first rob Peter.<span id=\"more-7221\"><\/span>\u00a0 The CARES Act proved to\u00a0<em>Boobus americanus<\/em>\u00a0that, without a shadow of a doubt, there\u2019s free \u2018money for the people\u2019 in Washington.\u00a0 S\u00ed se puede!<\/p>\n<p>This week the Congress did its part to further the greatest show on earth.\u00a0 The people want stimulus.\u00a0 Congress intends to get to them, in good time.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, the need to sprinkle the Country with printing press money was already a foregone conclusion.\u00a0 There was no discussion of the wisdom of not having a stimulus bill.\u00a0 The debate at hand was centered on how much.<\/p>\n<p>Crazy Nancy wants $3.4 trillion.\u00a0 Senate Republicans want $500 billion.\u00a0 Something called the House Problem Solvers Caucus wants $2 trillion.<\/p>\n<p>President Trump wants Republicans to\u00a0<em>\u201cgo for the much higher numbers.\u201d<\/em>\u00a0 His rationale:\u00a0<em>\u201cit all comes back to the USA anyway (one way or another!).\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>\u2026click on the above link to read the rest of the article\u2026<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>How to Tackle the Depression Head On \u201cI want to see people get money.\u201d\u00a0\u2013 Donald J.
