What\u2019s about to happen is that the world is going to go off the dollar standard and go back to the gold standard. That is where we are headed.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/SlS-zY2nJow\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Peter warned that we\u2019re about to see a loss of wealth on an unprecedented scale.<\/p>\n<p>He reiterated that this isn\u2019t about COVID-19. We were already on the cusp of a crisis. The coronavirus simply made it worse.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>It\u2019s one of many problems,\u00a0 but it\u2019s not why we\u2019re about to go through this massive economic collapse. But it is the monetary and fiscal policy response to COVID-19. The government\u2019s cure is what\u2019s going to kill the economy.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>In fact, the problems started long before the pandemic. As Peter reminds us, interest\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/schiffgold.com\/peters-podcast\/peter-schiff-the-fed-is-lying-to-say-this-is-not-qe\/\">rate cuts and QE were already ongoing<\/a>\u00a0before the government shutdowns started last March. In fact, it goes back much further than that.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Everything the US government did in the aftermath of the 2008 financial crisis was a mistake. All the monetary policy was wrong. All the fiscal policy was wrong.
