Yet another western imperialist agenda once again facilitated by unforgivably egregious journalistic malpractice in the mass media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure><iframe allowfullscreen=\"true\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/embed\/index.html?dnt=false&amp;embedId=twitter-widget-0&amp;frame=false&amp;hideCard=false&amp;hideThread=false&amp;id=1278730086603251717&amp;lang=en&amp;origin=https%3A%2F%2Fcaitlinjohnstone.com%2F2020%2F07%2F03%2Fseriously-get-the-hell-out-of-afghanistan%2F&amp;theme=light&amp;widgetsVersion=9066bb2%3A1593540614199&amp;width=550px\"><\/iframe><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Every aspect of this development is enraging.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The mass media have continued to add to their&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/medium.com\/@caityjohnstone\/why-the-us-empire-works-so-hard-to-control-the-international-narrative-about-russia-576e8c320497\">mountain of Gish gallop fallacies<\/a>&nbsp;promoting this narrative with&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/archive.is\/3EHzR\">a new&nbsp;<em>Daily Beast<\/em>&nbsp;report<\/a>&nbsp;citing former senior Taliban figure Mullah Manan Niazi who asserts that&nbsp;\u201cThe Taliban have been paid by Russian intelligence for attacks on U.S. forces\u2014and on ISIS forces\u2014in Afghanistan from 2014 up to the present.\u201d The Beast\u2019s own article admits that its source&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/archive.is\/3EHzR#selection-927.89-927.242\">has severe conflicts of interest<\/a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/archive.is\/3EHzR#selection-923.323-923.374\">is believed to be a CIA asset<\/a>&nbsp;by Taliban leadership, and that Niazi provided no evidence of any kind for his claim or any further details whatsoever.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These flimsy, poorly-sourced allegations are being hammered into mainstream liberal consciousness on a daily basis now in the exact same way the discredited Russiagate psyop was, and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/consortiumnews.com\/2019\/11\/19\/25-times-trump-has-been-dangerously-hawkish-on-russia\/\">just like with Russiagate<\/a>\u00a0the narrative they are being used to shape helps advance military expansionism and new cold war escalations which just so happen to fit perfectly into\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/medium.com\/@caityjohnstone\/liberal-npcs-hate-russia-conservative-npcs-hate-china-9b4ac2f853\">pre-existing geostrategic agendas<\/a>\u00a0of planetary domination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2026click on the above link to read the rest of the article\u2026<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Seriously, Get The Hell Out Of Afghanistan With&nbsp;overwhelming bipartisan support, the House Armed Services Committee has&nbsp;added a Liz Cheney-spearheaded amendment&nbsp;to the&nbsp;National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) which throws severe roadblocks in the Trump administration\u2019s proposed scale-down of US military presence in Afghanistan and Germany.
