Twitter Censors Trump For \u201cThreat Of Harm\u201d, Has No Problem With Threats To Bomb Foreigners<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Twitter has censored a post by the president of the United States, this time for \u201ca threat of harm against an identifiable group.\u201d This despite the fact that this president routinely uses the popular social media platform to threaten to drop explosives on people in other countries without interference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve placed a public interest notice on this Tweet for violating our policy against abusive behavior, specifically, the presence of a threat of harm against an identifiable group,\u201d Twitter stated on the platform<\/a>. \u201cPer our policies, this Tweet will remain on the service given its relevance to ongoing public conversation. Engagements with the Tweet will be limited. People will be able to Retweet with Comment, but not Like, Reply, or Retweet it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThere will never be an \u2018Autonomous Zone\u2019 in Washington, D.C., as long as I\u2019m your President,\u201d Trump\u2019s censored tweet<\/a> reads. \u201cIf they try they will be met with serious force!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019ve been writing<\/a> all month<\/a> about the brutal authoritarian crackdown<\/a> America\u2019s militarized police state<\/a> has been inflicting upon US protesters who\u2019ve been demonstrating against police brutality these last few weeks, so obviously I object to the threat of further force upon these same protesters by this same armed goon patrol. But Twitter did not censor Trump\u2019s tweet because of any \u201cthreat of harm against an identifiable group.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Know how I know? Because Twitter has been allowing Trump to make far more deadly threats throughout his entire administration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
