Areas that present any new cases have been quickly locked down, often trapping millions of people.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>June 19 \u2013 CNN (Nectar Gan): \u201cWithin a matter of days, the metropolis of more than 20 million people was placed under a partial lockdown. Authorities reintroduced restrictive measures used earlier to fight the initial wave of infections, sealing off residential neighborhoods, closing schools and barring hundreds of thousands of people deemed at risk of contracting the virus from leaving the city.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>China is said to have mobilized its 100,000-strong infection tracing force. More than 1.1 million tests were administered in Beijing over the past week.
