How could you possibly make tasty meals from these items you have stashed away? Do you imagine a future filled with cans of Spaghetti-O\u2019s and saltine crackers?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Trust me when I tell you, you can do much better than that. Here\u2019s a menu that you can adjust to your family\u2019s preferences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>A one-month menu of shelf-stable dinners<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have fresh or frozen ingredients on hand, feel free to substitute them in for shelf-stable ones. If you\u2019re a vegetarian, a lot of these meals can be converted by simply omitting the meat or replacing the meat with lentils or beans. Tweak the meals according to your family\u2019s preferences and allergies or intolerances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Menu: Week One<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>5-Can Chili<\/li><li>Chili Pie<\/li><li>Tuna Noodle Casserole<\/li><li>Chicken Alfredo and Pasta<\/li><li>Udon Noodles in Peanut Sauce<\/li><li>Scalloped Potatoes with Ham<\/li><li>Mexican Pizza Pie<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Menu: Week Two<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Shepherd\u2019s Pie<\/li><li>Vegetable Soup<\/li><li>Chicken and Dumplings<\/li><li>One-Pot Beans and Rice<\/li><li>Spaghetti<\/li><li>Bread and Gravy<\/li><li>Pantry Potato Soup<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Menu: Week Three<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Goulash<\/li><li>Vegetable Fried Rice<\/li><li>Chicken and Dressing<\/li><li>Jambalaya<\/li><li>Fry Bread Tacos<\/li><li>Split Pea Soup<\/li><li>Pasta Primavera<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Menu Week Four<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Pasta Fagioli<\/li><li>Chicken Pot Pie<\/li><li>Poor Man\u2019s Stroganoff<\/li><li>Baked Beans with Ham and Sweet Potatoes<\/li><li>Baked Bean Chili<\/li><li>Southwestern Chicken and Rice<\/li><li>Corn Chowder<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>I like to save leftovers from dinner for the following day\u2019s lunch. Shelf-stable breakfasts are pretty simple with things like powdered milk, dried fruit, and cereal or oatmeal.
