Statesman and mere politicians, as the case may be,\u00a0find themselves\u00a0confronted with fraught circumstances and\u00a0stark choices. February 2015 is one such moment.<\/p>\n<p>For its part, Greece\u00a0stands at\u00a0a fork in the road.\u00a0Syriza can move aggressively to\u00a0recover Greece\u2019s democratic sovereignty or it can desperately\u00a0cling to the faltering\u00a0currency and financial\u00a0machinery of the\u00a0Euro zone. But it can\u2019t do both.<\/p>\n<p>So by the time\u00a0the current onerous\u00a0bailout agreement expires at month end,\u00a0Greece must have\u00a0repudiated its \u201cbailout\u00a0debt\u201d and be on the off-ramp from\u00a0the euro.
