{"id":50917,"date":"2020-02-03T10:58:59","date_gmt":"2020-02-03T15:58:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/olduvai.ca\/?p=50917"},"modified":"2020-02-03T10:59:03","modified_gmt":"2020-02-03T15:59:03","slug":"india-to-probe-wuhan-institute-of-virology","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/olduvai.ca\/?p=50917","title":{"rendered":"India To Probe Wuhan Institute Of Virology"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.zerohedge.com\/health\/india-probe-wuhan-institute-virology\">India To Probe Wuhan Institute Of Virology<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It appears that around the time we suggested someone reach out to the Wuhan Institute of Virology to get some answers about the origin of the deadly Coronavirus epidemic (which Twitter decided was sufficient to get us barred from the platform), India was doing just that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehindu.com\/news\/national\/study-on-bats-and-bat-hunters-of-nagaland-come-under-the-scanner\/article30722099.ece\">The Hindu&nbsp;<\/a>and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/greatgameindia.com\/coronavirus-india-to-investigate-wuhan-institute-of-virology\/\">Great Game India<\/a>, after&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/greatgameindia.com\/indian-scientists-discover-coronavirus-engineered-with-aids-like-insertions\/\">Indian scientists were forced to withdraw their study concluding Coronavirus was injected with HIV AIDS virus<\/a>&nbsp;amidst massive online criticism from Social Media experts, now Indian authorities have launched an investigation against China\u2019s Wuhan Institute of Virology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/zh-prod-1cc738ca-7d3b-4a72-b792-20bd8d8fa069.storage.googleapis.com\/s3fs-public\/inline-images\/wuhan%20institute%204.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Indian government has ordered an inquiry into a study conducted in the Northeastern state of Nagaland (close to China) by researchers from the U.S., China and India on bats and humans carrying antibodies to deadly viruses like Ebola, officials confirmed to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehindu.com\/news\/national\/study-on-bats-and-bat-hunters-of-nagaland-come-under-the-scanner\/article30722099.ece\"><em>The Hindu<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/zh-prod-1cc738ca-7d3b-4a72-b792-20bd8d8fa069.storage.googleapis.com\/s3fs-public\/inline-images\/nagaland%20corona%20bats.PNG\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The study came under the scanner as two of the 12 researchers belonged to the Wuhan Institute of Virology\u2019s Department of Emerging Infectious Diseases, and it was funded by the United States Department of Defense\u2019s Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA).
