{"id":49444,"date":"2019-11-06T08:24:02","date_gmt":"2019-11-06T13:24:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/olduvai.ca\/?p=49444"},"modified":"2019-11-06T08:24:08","modified_gmt":"2019-11-06T13:24:08","slug":"sidewalk-labs-smart-cities-will-create-a-for-profit-social-credit-system-that-controls-judges-and-police","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/olduvai.ca\/?p=49444","title":{"rendered":"Sidewalk Labs&#8217; Smart Cities Will Create A For-Profit Social Credit System That Controls Judges And Police"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a href=\"https:\/\/massprivatei.blogspot.com\/2019\/11\/sidewalk-labs-smart-cities-will-create.html\">Sidewalk Labs&#8217; Smart Cities Will Create A For-Profit Social Credit System That Controls Judges And Police<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Smart city surveillance, is much worse than anyone could have imagined.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Two years ago, I revealed how a CIA &#8220;signature school&#8221; was installing&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/massprivatei.blogspot.com\/2017\/03\/cia-signature-school-is-creating-smart.html\">thousands of CCTV cameras and microphones<\/a>&nbsp;in smart cities, but Sidewalk Labs wants to take public surveillance to a whole new level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>The Globe And Mail<\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.theglobeandmail.com\/business\/article-sidewalk-labs-document-reveals-companys-early-plans-for-data\/\">revealed<\/a>&nbsp;that Sidewalk Labs &#8220;Yellow Book,&#8221; a guidebook designed to help Google employees build a smart city from the ground up, would give their employees control of public services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Yellow Book describes how Google plans to turn at least four major cities in North America into Sidewalk Labs smart cities.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;The book proposed a community that could house 100,000 people on a site of up to 1,000 acres, and contains case studies for three potential sites in the United States: Detroit, Denver, and Alameda, Calif. It also includes a map with dots detailing many other potential sites for Sidewalk\u2019s first project, including a dot placed on the shores of Lake Athabasca in northern Saskatchewan.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The fourth area, Toronto&#8217;s waterfront, has&nbsp;received lots of criticism&nbsp;from privacy experts.
