Everyone Is a Russian Asset <\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

America laughed at Hillary Clinton\u2019s remarks about Tulsi Gabbard, but her ideas fit perfectly in the intellectual mainstream<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hillary Clinton<\/a>, not long ago the nominee of the Democratic Party, had some choice words<\/a> about the state of American politics Friday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\u2019m not making any predictions, but I think they\u2019ve got their eye on somebody who is currently in the Democratic primary and are grooming her to be the third-party candidate,\u201d Clinton said on a podcast with former Barack Obama aide David Plouffe. \u201cShe\u2019s the favorite of the Russians.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Clinton appeared to be talking about Hawaii congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard<\/a>, a combat veteran. She wasn\u2019t done, teeing off on former Green Party candidate Jill Stein:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201c[Jill Stein\u2019s] also a Russian asset\u2026 Yeah, she\u2019s a Russian asset \u2014 I mean, totally. They know they can\u2019t win without a third-party candidate.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

She went on to talk about Donald Trump:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know what Putin has on him, whether it\u2019s both personal and financial \u2026 I assume it is.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hillary Clinton is nuts. She\u2019s also not far from the Democratic Party mainstream, which has been pushing the same line for years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Less than a week before Clinton\u2019s outburst, the New York Times \u2014 <\/em>once a symbol of stodgy, hyper-cautious reporting \u2014<\/em> ran a feature called, \u201cWhat, Exactly, is Tulsi Gabbard Up To<\/a>?\u201d The piece speculated about the \u201csuspicious activity\u201d surrounding Gabbard\u2019s campaign, using quotes from the neoconservative think-tank, the Alliance For Securing Democracy, to speculate about Gabbard\u2019s Russian support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This was the second such article the\u00a0Times\u00a0<\/em>had written. An August piece, \u201cTulsi Gabbard thinks we\u2019re doomed,\u201c hit nearly all the same talking points, quoting Clint Watts, an ex-spook from the\u00a0same think-tank<\/a>, calling Gabbard \u201cthe Kremlin\u2019s preferred Democrat\u201d and a \u201cuseful agent of influence.\u201d The\u00a0Times\u00a0<\/em>article echoed earlier pieces by\u00a0the\u00a0Daily Beast<\/em><\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0NBC.com\u00a0that said many of the same things.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
