On January 21<\/a>, Senator James Inhofe (R-OK<\/span>) again displayed the same deception\/incompetence that pervaded his book,\u00a0The Greatest Hoax\u00a0<\/em>(2012).
\nIn this\u00a0video segment (3:00-5:20)<\/a>, he presented a poster on the Senate floor that matches the\u00a0image below<\/a>\u00a0from\u201cKyoto by Degrees,\u201d\u00a0<\/a>an anonymous\u00a0Wall Street Journal (WSJ<\/span>)\u00a0<\/em>Opinion piece, June 21, 2005.\u00a0 Both contained claims plausibly called\u00a0academic<\/a>\u00a0or\u00a0journalistic<\/a>\u00a0deception, created for public\u00a0confusion.<\/p>\n

Regardless of ancient tempreatures, modern temperature rise is human-caused, not just natural variation: you damaged your furnace so it now ignores the thermostat.\u00a0 Heat varies erratically, room by room, and day by day,\u00a0 but each week the house\u00a0 is overall wamer than the last. Your attic Arctic fridge’s ice cubes are melting and even the basement freezer is starting to struggle.\u00a0The furnace will take months to fix, and you need to start, whether or not you believe rumors that some previous owner experienced warmer\u00a0weather.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n
