The kind of guy who should be rooting for the system, because it has treated him well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Instead, he was quite nervous about the sustainability of the status quo.&nbsp;<em>\u201cStarting in August,\u201d<\/em>&nbsp;he said,&nbsp;<em>\u201cMaybe it was the Amazon catching fire, maybe it was the negative interest rates \u2013 I don\u2019t know for certain what the trigger was \u2013 but something has snapped.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I agree. Because I feel it, too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As do so many others. And not just those who regularly read PeakProsperity.com. Increasingly, even \u2018mainstream\u2019 voices are stating to report a profound sense that something really isn\u2019t right. That \u2014 from the economy to geopolitics to the natural world \u2014 things are swiftly worsening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Public perception is beginning to shift from complacency to fear. Countries are fast rejecting globalization in favor of nationalization. The holes in our ecosystem \u2014 vanishing birds, insects, amphibians and fish stocks \u2014 are becoming frighteningly obvious. The threats to life as we\u2019re accustomed to it are becoming more visible while accelerating in both magnitude and frequency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I expounded on the danger of this in my recent report&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.peakprosperity.com\/its-the-pace-of-change-that-kills-you\/\">It\u2019s the Pace of Change That Kills You<\/a>. Negative developments can spark their own vicious cycle. The more components of a system that fail, the more at risk the remaining components become.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That report was published just two weeks ago. Since then\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/article\/us-saudi-aramco-attacks\/attack-on-saudi-oil-facility-came-from-direction-of-iran-not-yemen-u-s-official-idUSKBN1W00SA\">the world\u2019s largest oil refinery was attacked by hostile forces and knocked out of commission<\/a>, throwing the future integrity of the global oil market into question.
